Whenever I hear "Gay Marriage," the first thing that comes to my mind is, "Karl Rove."

Whenever black folks get wedged into two groups due to homophobia, it upsets me because it means that Karl Rove's strategy is STILL SUCCEEDING.

It means that WE as a people HAVE NOT GOTTEN WISE TO THIS CON-JOB YET. IT MEANS THAT WE REMAIN PAWNS IN TURD-BLOSSOM'S GAMES.

Most importantly, It reminds me that "Gay Marriage" made the difference in Ohio in 2004 when Kerry lost the state by 20,000 votes.

The price of "Gay Marriage," was FOUR-F*CKING-MORE-YEARS of GEORGE W. BUSH. Was it WORTH-IT? WAS IT WORTH IT???

I said it once, I'll say it again:
For all of the black preachers who sold their souls to Bush and used "Gay-Marriage" as an issue from the pulpit to the DETRIMENT of their congregations, THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE in HEEL for YOU.

And for all of the black folks who either voted for Bush or stayed home because of the "Gay Marriage" issue, you deserve to suffer the effects of this economy more than any one else. PERIOD.

Since we started this site in the summer of 2006, we have published over 3,400 items. You are not hearing about gay issues on this site “every second of every day.” That statement is beyond ridiculous.

If you don't value the range of ideas at this site, feel free to leave. We never promised that every single one of the thousands of posts here would please you, and if the fact that we occasionally challenge your comfort zone causes you as much pain as it seems… if two posts about the issue of civil rights in this country (something many of us feel is relevant to the black experience) turns you off to the entirety of everything else you've experienced here, then go. Because if that's the case, then you were never really a member of this community to begin with.

You believe being gay is a curse.

I know that it's a blessing. A brilliant blessing. Gay people are gifted with a clarity of insight that many others simply don't have. You would know this if you weren't so distracted. But you have already lost the war because gay people won't cease to exist. So long as humankind exists, it will benefit from the contributions of gay people. Brilliantly blessed in every way gay people. Those of us who love ourselves enough to know exactly who we are, we know exactly what we have to give, and we aren't going to cow tow to your dogma. And you simply can't stand it. So you get loud, and loquacious and redundant. You lack original thought because you are a slave to your dogma. Poor thing. Enjoy your hell, for that is where you live.
