This is AWESOME news! A lot of folks may not know Ed if they don't get his show on Progressive/Air America Radio, but he's great, no-nonsense, good sense of humor, and was an Obama supporter practically from day one.

Yeah!!! Can't wait to see Ed on TV. Ed's our Fargo neighbor. Love his down home straight, no chaser delivery. Bring it, Ed!

Too bad they can't figure a way to get some more women and people of color hosting shows.

Thank you. I like Ed a lot but I just wish that they would try for a more diverse lineup. I think it is even more noticeable in the age of Obama.

Booky, I agree. There needs to be more POC in the MSM. It isn't asking too much either. I think one of the reasons is because of President Obama's presidency.

MSM will continue to try and force feed us with white talking heads to provide us with insight into the Black man who also “happens to be president.”

I think the MSM are COWARDS, and don't want thoughtful, smart, neutral Blacks or other POC to deliver the news, because we'll tell the truth, and heaven knows we can't have Blacks providing thoughtful, neutral, commentary.

Blacks: So all we see now are handkerchief head, skinnin, grinnin, slave-catching, coons on the airwaves.

Whites: Mainly angry white males like Hannity, O''Riley, Olberman, yes, he can be obnoxious, loud, and self righteous too), Chris Matthews, Lou Dobbs, John King, David Gregory, Brian Williams, Charlie Gibson, Bob Schiffer, Geroge Stephanopolis. Morley Saffer, (who must be 100 by now) Steve Kroff

Don Lemon and Roland Martin. TJ. Holmes get the weekend gigs or fill-ins

Diane Sawyer, Robin Robins, Anne Currie, Tameron hall (all light weight commentators) Leslie Stahl, Katie Couric, Rachel Maddow, who knaws her nails down to the bone. Chrisane Amanpour- Top notch, serious journalist

It 's their lame way to control the narrative, although they are doing a piss poor job of it. spinning and weaving their narrow viewpoints and parading leftover/looser Rethugs from the 2008 elections.

That being said, I still appreciate Ed Shultz too. I listen to him on the radio and appreciate his no-nonsense candor when it comes to the middle class issues.

Booky- I have noticed. I find it dissapointing that MSNBC would not attempt to give a AA journalist a show. MSNBC had many AA's watching prior to the election. Black people were tuning in nightly to watch KO and RM.
