My friend who works in HR tells me that corporate re-los get this type of deal. Typically they bring in the person, and put up the downpayment on the home and if it does not work out in a year, they don't owe anything. If it does work out all they owe is the balance of the mortgage.

Think of it as you want to buy a house. Under FNM rules you need to put down 20% of the price. so on a $100,000 house you need $20,000 and you assume the risk of paying the mortgage. Now imagine you can buy the house for a down payment of only $10,000 because someone else puts up the other $10,000. Now to sweeten the deal when you borrow the money we make your loan such that we guarantee that if your house hasn't gone up in value when you go to sell it we will take back and all you lost was $10,000. Tell me will you take this deal?<br>You should because it allows you to buy twice as much house if you have the $20,000.
