The speed at which the stimulus bill was passed and the resulting AIG bonus 'loophole' and the resulting retroactive taxation bill underscore the need for measured Congressional action, and time for scrutiny and debate of legislation. If that's what we wanted we shouldn't have elected someone who is an expert on the Constitution and has moral fiber. And as to the comparison of Geithner to Brown, Brown was a horse trainer who was ill-equipped to do the job. When Geithner was proposed almost everyone said he was qualified for the position. The only way he would be comparable to Brown is if he was going from dog catcher to Sec. of the Treasury.
