I'm playing wait and see. I don't think these are obstructionists. We'll find out.

This is politics. These people are posturing for their constituents. What's wrong with that?

The DLC has no power. These folks are trying to capitalize on the success of the Democrats. So what.

If they vote against the president's agenda, I'll know better. So far they haven't.

But Claire McCaskill is gold. She's not going to stab Obama in the back.

Let's not assume anything until we know the facts.

Mark Warner is one of my senators. I am very disappointed. He held on tightly to Obama's coattails and we get this.Me to Mark Warner: We voted for you for a reason we wanted a Democrat in office to vote with the Democratic party. If we wanted a Republican we would have elected the Republican.

I have not been watching the TV for a month and I have begun to take 2-3 days off from political blogs.

I am finding it is just like the day time soaps…no matter when you tune back in..it takes less than 2 days to catch up on the entire shyt and gaboodle.

I did see that one threat he made over on HuffPo..where he smacked that congressman back in the mouth and told them he was too big to let go down with all the money they had already poured him…it was a helluva backhand…I was like OMG..this man is ARROGANT and unrepetant.

He was like phuck with me if you want…it's your money that will be sunk.

He recused himself once he was tapped to be Sec. of Treasury. He was head of the New York Federal Reserve and oversaw the $85B loan to AIG from the NY Federal Reserve in Sept. '08. He was still head of the Federal Reserve when they gave AIG the next $37B loan in Oct. '08. There were no conditions placed on this money re bonuses even though it was known that the bonuses existed. AIG also put this info in their SEC filing.

Week before last, the plummeting DOW was all Pres. Obama's fault…..now that it is rebounding somewhat, a convenient new scandal has erupted….

From what I've read, it was much a-do about nothing in the first place.

From a commentor at HuffPo:

The proposal does not require a veteran who has service-related injuries to buy private health insurance.

Anybody who claims that is lying.

The proposal does not allow the VA to deny treatment to a veteran who has both private health insurance and a service-related disability.

Anybody who claims that is lying.

The proposal would require a private insurer - they never give discounts to veterans who have service-related injuries - tp pay the VA for providing treatment for the service-related injury.

That's it.

The proposal is not disgusting. The proposal does not disrespect veterans like my father:

5 battle Stars
Navy Unit Commendation
Presidential Unit Citation
Silver Star
Purple Heart

In any way, shape, or form.

All the proposal does is require my father's shiftless private insurer to help the United States of America pay to treat my fathers combat wounds in instead of just making an obscene profit on the $13,000 a year he pays the worthless bums for his private insurance.

Let me get this straight. Merrill Lynch gave out $3.6M in bonuses in Dec., but the media is harping about $165M in bonuses from AIG.
