Hi, thanks for the link. This is Gabriel from ColorOfChange. It's great that President Obama has responded in this way. Governor Sanford's position has been that if Obama won't let him use the funds to pay down debt, he'll reject them completely:

"Sanford spokesman Joel Sawyer had no immediate response, but the governor has said he would reject part of the stimulus money if Obama wouldn't give him flexibility in spending it."

Fortunately, it looks like some state legislators in SC are mobilizing to overrule the Governor. We need to make it clear they have the public's support. Calling out Sanford also helps increase the spotlight on other Governors who are threatening to reject stimulus funds.
