"African-American Mayoral Candidate Calls for Lynching to Alleviate Crime
Posted March 23, 2009

An African-American mayoral candidate is calling for lynchings to be reestablished as part of his campaign platform in Jackson, Mississippi. George Lambus, the 62-year old Republican candidate has blanketed many White neighborhoods with flyers, which take shots at his Democratic rivals and calling for "a noose and stout tree limb" to tackle crime.

His flyer reads:

"Incompetent negro Democrats at City Hall, negroes without civic pride, negro criminals and corrupt negro police officers have just about driven this city into the ground. Any Negro Democrat running for mayor who tells you that he or she can reduce crime and bring jobs to Jackson is a damn lie. They only want to be mayor for the salary. Job creation is contingent upon the economy improving, and crime can only be alleviated by a noose and a stout tree limb. I will provide the noose, and when the economy improves, I will get the jobs here."

Lambus defended his views to the Associated Press, stating, "Look at recent history, like in South Africa, when apartheid was abolished. Blacks went on a crime spree. Other Blacks got tired of it... and they formed vigilantes and they killed people. It brought crime down."

Jackson's former mayor Frank Melton left office and is currently facing federal civil rights violations for alleged attacks on known crack houses in the city as the election takes place. Melton has also been accused of being corrupt and running a rogue operation in the city as well and partaking in the drug trade. Mississippi Republican Party Chairman Brad White doesn't recognize Lambus as an official candidate and his chances of winning are considered slim."

This is my take on why we are "outraged". I'd rather use a term that more culturally familiar to AAs. We are "pissed off." With the election of the first AA POTUS, with change coming to America and with the POTUS opening all those closets in the White House and corruption keeps falling out with every door they open. Coupled with the depression/recession/inflation that has finally caught up to middle/upper class white folk.

#1 = After Hurricane Ike hits the gulf coasts of Tx & LA, the Repubs play it cool for one night at their Convention. The next night we see the fat Wall Street cats back to rolling out the dough for lobbyist partying. That was the first sign of rich arrogance.



#2 - You have arrogant white men flying into Washington on corporate jet with their hands out to the public coffers. Reality hit us, "this is cool why our people can't do this?" We never had the opportunity to be in position to even know this is possible for us to get to a position to fly to a meeting on a corporate jet.. So here we go again, being left out the loop on the corporate positions that have access to private jet travel. We have always been proud of Oprah for doing it and there have a to be a few other.

#3 - Congress lamblast them to being arrogant. The message should have registered to anybody else wanting to get bailed out, "be humbe".

#4 - If that wasn't enough, Bush GIVES AWA'Y $350B with no strings attached. NONE. His approval rating is single digit and he is still rewarding the rich and did not ask for one report. Not one report on how the money was going to be spent.. He just lays low and takes Paulsen on out with him.

#4 Then you see Obama elected, historically inaugurated and these arrogant Wall Street cats saying we don't care who you are, what Detroit auto execs did, send the checks so we can pass out our bonuses.

So call is outraged or pissed - the shyt wasn't right, it don't pass the smell test, we getting rolled over again, we ain't nothing and ain't worth nothing, go to hell and give us the public money so we can keep living the lifestyles of the rich and shameless. That's why people are mad. Justifiable? Hell yeah.

I hear you on this. I see where you're coming from. It's truly the lack of humility and especially no admission that THEY were the ones who fucked up and did wrong.

The truth is ain't nobody so pissed they think what Obama is doing ain't right. That's the bottomline.

Media just trying to find something to ding him on....and they are failing badly.
