shoot – we brought OJ back in the house, protecting him from the white beatdown thought still giving him a solid tour of the woodshed on the black side. we still love mike …and we should. (ok, if not “we” the “I” as I still believe he'd pay money to have our big black nose back and some brown skin to go with it.

I'll stick with O as our best bet since Soyinka, Fanon, King, X, and Garvey – though he plays a role much different from that of overt freedom fighter for black folk.

Seems there's no way to graft black folk into the flow, except as it occurs in the white host's repertoire. I give Brian Lehrer much credit for being one of the most naturally inclusive types as he gets it in, but not with any overt insertion moves – Black seems like the Americana fare that it is when it shows up on his script. But we also show up there as we do in the wider media landscape, not quite as Americana and rather as topics for special occasions and borders to the American fabric.

Anybody got any insight from the African American Public Radio Consortium, Richard Prince, NPR or any other possibly knowledgeable sources? Do we just not fit the format of supposedly the most egalitarian environment and format?

Doesn't seem so impossible if you look over at BBC where from music (esp. One Extra) to news, we are still stylized figures but nevertheless clearly embedded in the mix and showing up in a bit more randomized and non-special-occasiony way…

…or is it time for jjpRadio? would have to widen audience a bit – I may be wrong – correct me – but just judging from the fact that most of us seem to be black in this camp and white folks commenting tends to elicit (often rightful) controversy.

Hell yeah! We are still on our honeymoon. I swallowed hard last night when Craig posted “Obama knew”. We are loyal people and he is our one and only shot at this ride, even if he said today that he was Irish”. Yeah, right! I do believe we will hang with him til the bitter end.

But, here is my concern. Geithner can't be the fall guy, I am in agreement with Harold Ford that Liddy has to be the fall guy because he was the fox appointed by the government to keep watch over the AIG fat henhouse. I am waiting with baited breath to see if Gergen is gonna come out tonight and say “I told you so”. Gergen began the chant that Obama was doing to much. He went further and said that Geithner had not had an opportunity to hire any help. Therein lies the “I told you that you were trying to do to much too soon.' So, if Geithner can't be the fall guy its gotta be Liddy. Cause if it aint Liddy that ball is getting punted to the POTUS. We loyal people and we cant let that happen. So, we need to take a long look at Liddy's liability in all of this and slip Geithner out when he makes a mistake AFTER he has hired some help. If the POTUS gets the blame all trillion dollar budget get stamped CANCELLED – no omnibus budget, no more TARPS, no second stimulus. We have to let this POTUS have the reigns. Now maybe the Black Caucus has put their heads together BECAUSE Ford was making real good sense today. The idea is to appoint a TARP oversight czar such as Colin Powell. That will take the heat off POTUS. Hell yeah we gon be loyal, what choice do we have?
