I don't think he's defending AIG at all. I think he's imparting some rationality to this irrational pitchfork mentality that seems to have overtaken everyones sensibilities. Yes, the government should make efforts to get the money back, but there is no reason to start changing tax laws on the fly. Guaranteed to come back and bite us in the asses.
