Again your failure to comprehend how the two are analogous does not make it a 'weak analogy'.

Swastikas need not represent anything in any part of the world for the analogy to make since in a HISTORICAL context, which is what the point being made focused on the HISTORICAL context of apes/monkeys used to represent people of African origin. Just as swastikas represent the symbol of the group of people who persecuted jews. It is a specific analogy based on HISTORICAL IMAGES.

Both the swastika and apes conjure up specifiy images based on history and how they were used.

What you are trying to do is say that apes can have more than one meaning. I don't disagree with apes can be used to depict other things but I also know that in this instance the ape was used to represent a black man. A black man who just so happens to be President, and who just so happens to have a stimulus package in the news media the pass few days and which is being called OBAMA's stimulus bill.

The purpose of cartoons is to represent WITH IMAGES and the cartoonist knew exactly what he was doing when he had those police officers SHOOT & KILL the APE representing the President of the United States.

If the cartoonist wanted to get at congress he could have depicted CONGRESS as being shot by using the symbol of the democratic party or Congress caricatured as an ape. He did not.

I used the picture of the swastika because it is HISTORICAL symbol of hate and persecution just as the ape is an HISTORICAL symbol of racism.

It's clearly umambiguously RACIST given the history of America using monkeys and apes to sterotypically depict black people as the stupid as apes. After all, why would they need someone else to re-write the bill if it had NOT been written by the 'ape' we have for a president?

It is a stretch when you do not recognize the long standing racist history of America being just as universally evil, pervasive and oppressive in American society is not recognized as you attempt to deny America's historical past and the stereotypical images used to perpetuate that racism.

That is the only thing absurd here.

Let me ask you a question. Is there any symbol or image that you do believe is an American racist stereotype?

Or are all of them ambiguous to you?
