That lack of voting representation in Congress was one of the reasons that I was extremely leary of becoming a DC resident, when I moved back to the District in '96. I am curious to see how this will be dealt with in the courts. Trust and believe, there will be a legal conservative challenge to this piece of legislation. All I have to say is that if it fails (which I hope it does not), then I want DC residents to gain tax exempt status (and I am far from the only DC resident who feels that way).
