I am saying that the media is controlled by GOP corporate titans. No matter what the Dems message is it is not how the media presents it. The media always presents the GoP biased spin of the Dem message. It is not about rigorous defense, of Obama. Individuals that defend Obama are not allowed to speak to the issue.

'The infamous GOP talking point that the stimulus package contains gobs of cash for saving marsh mice found its way into a New York Times story, without the paper mentioning that the claim is untrue.
The line in the final story read:

Mr. Gingrich sees the stimulus bill as his party’s ticket to a revival in 2010, as Republicans decry what they see as pork-barrel spending for projects like marsh-mouse preservation. “You can imagine the fun people will have with that,” he said.

The story doesn’t note that there are no such funds in the bill.

A reader tells me that he emailed the author of the story, Sheryl Gay Stolberg, to discuss the omission. Here is part of her reply to him in her email:

I did write in the story I submitted that the assertion was misleading, but I’m sorry to report that language was removed by editors and that I didn’t notice the deletion. My initial text read like this:

“….as Republicans decry, often misleadingly, what they see as pork-barrel spending for projects like marsh mouse preservation.”

So the words “often misleadingly” were removed by editors.”

That is just ONE example of how the GOP talking point is used to shape the opini0n of the reader. This happens not just in the newspaper but on cable and network as well becaue the individuals who control the networks are GOP partisians.

So,the credit for what the GOP is able to do goes to media bias, not inept Dems.

Even your believing the Dems are inept is affirming how controlled the media GOP spin is.

Dems are having to resort to other non mainstream media to get their message out, as in Robocalls and the President flying to areas of the country and having town halls to explain how he is governing this nation. Even so, the media claims he is in 'campaign mode' still!!

He isn't he is doing what he has to do to get his message to Americans as the media is completely unwilling to provide that opportunity. Look at how they spent time asking about Daschle when he went on to talk about the economic stimulus!

It's the media who has not had on economists to discuss the stimulus, insteading relying on talking heads who have no economic expertise on virtually every network.
