So you are arguing that POPULARITY WITH BLACK PEOPLE is proof of “seriousness”? How absurd.

I would argue that since no Republican is likely elected in any district where Blacks make up more than 35% of the voting base (they only need 15% of White folks to make a majority for the Democrats)…….shouldn't we be inspecting the conditions for Black people where DEMOCRATS ALREADY DOMINATE so that we can vet the notion that DEMOCRATS ARE GOOD FOR BLACK PEOPLE and thus we have no need to vote for anyone else?

It is my opinion that many of you are smitten with the notion that what is POPULARLY ASSUMED to be the pathway to the “Best Interests for Black people” is as such. Thus anyone who's ideology is in line with what YOU THINK then is the best candidate to lead our communities.

Why is it then that you all are so LOATHED to make note of where Blacks live in our highest concentrations and then note the condition of

* Our schools there
* Our public safety there
* Our economic and employment situation there (yes – long before this current recession)
* Our public health situation there?

You don't because often you don't like what you see.
Since many of you worked fervently to ELECT the array of leadership into power after having DRIVEN OUT those from previous regimes and the wrong party that FAILED US BEFORE……you are not inclined to go against your PERMANENT FRIEND. After all his ideology is STILL in line with what you believe.

The logical response that you all take is to “Expand the police tape around the crime scene (ie: the city or the school district)) ” and focus on aggregating MORE POWER for the Democrats at the county, state and federal level.

In the dust that is kicked up via ELECTORAL MOVEMENT you all presuppose that PROGRESSION FOR THE BLACK COMMUNITY is being made. You prefer to measure this progression by the “increased HEAD COUNT” of Blacks and Democrats into power.

In truth the MEASURE of the BENEFIT FOR THE BLACK COMMUNITY SHOULD BE

* The measurable increase in SAFETY we have while walking down our streets as well as the employment of iron workers who receive the IRON BARS for recycling which have been taken of of our windows and doors because of the reduced threat

* The number of Black majority school now listed on the “School of Excellence” list rather than on the “Title 1″ list

* The increase in Gross Domestic Product for “underserved areas” that are now able to serve themselves.

* The removal of the RED PUSH PINS from the maps at the Centers for Disease Control, indicating that these areas where Black folks live in our highest concentrations are no longer emergency zones for HIV, STDs, obesity and diabetes.

It is clear that some of you have LOST YOURSELVES. You have been fighting AGAINST conservatives and REPUBLICANS for so long that you now only function to HELP DEMOCRATS rather than help the BLACK COMMUNITY.

The only reason why you are not called SELLOUTS is because as any frequent party host knows – WHEN YOU INVITE ALL OF YOUR NEIGHBORS TO THE PARTY THAT GOES UNTIL 4AM……..they are not likely to CALL THE POLICE because they are IN BED WITH YOU!!!

I think that the problem is that YOU are guilty of applying certain features to Black people.

Where as others are damned for picturing a Black person when they hear the word “Welfare” you are just as guilty as you see a Black man who WON an election and you say “Affirmative Action”.

You do realize that mental conditioning is curable if you try hard enough.

However, your statement about rich Republicans is not necessarily so. When you look at the domain of wealthy Black people they are disproportionately Democrats none the less.

This past summer there was a presentation on CSPAN detailing how it IS the case that there is a correlation between wealth and party affiliation but then there was ONE ASTERISK.

The “*” noted that the research findings were true EXCEPT FOR…….you guest it – BLACK PEOPLE. There is NO correlation, they found, between Wealth and Party affiliation among Black people.

In my opinion one only needs to look at the “Black Flight Progressives” to understand why. Despite having moved away from a Democratic/Progressive bastion in search of less crime, better schools, better job opportunities they continue to vote for the DEMOCRATS. This the same machine who's policies ultimately forced them to go away.

You see Kisses and Smooches – the EXCLUSIVITY that someone else mention above is what THE BLACK FLIGHT PROGRESSIVE showed an attraction to. No NOT in his voting patterns but instead in his choice of residency.

After having removed his “skin from the game” – he saves face by continuing to vote Democratic so that he can claim that he has “not forgotten about his people”.

If the Black Flight Progressive was honest with himself he would instead work to DISTILL the attributes from the more conservative area that he moved into and seek to FORTIFY them in the area where he was forced to emigrate from.

The Republican party attracts people of like mind. They are HUNGRY. They believe in scarcity. They believe that some people were meant to inherit the earth, and fuck the rest…. Amy Holmes, Condoleeza, Steele…they all have that “hungry” look in their eyes. Only Powell doesn't quite look that way….he has a slight softness around the cheekbones that shows vulnerability. VULTURES they are!

All their policies are based on winning..they want to win! And, in any race, someone must lose….as long as it's not them!

Are the schools improving?
Does the city still have a crime wave that is killing many young Black males?
Are the areas where the most loyal Democratic voters IMPROVING or are they on the verge of collapse?

I don't have a problem with your ability to Attack Republicans or Conservatives.
It is clear that this produces some orgasmic effect on some of you.

What I have a problem with is the fact that YOU NOW HAVE IN PLACE people who YOU PUT IN PLACE because you BOUGHT their promises that they were going to IMPROVE YOUR SITUATION. Now that they are in place and you STILL are in an aggrieved state. Instead of asking THEM TO DELIVER……….some of you prefer to continue to focus on the subject which gets you off.

The worse possible condition for Progressivism is for it to be ALL ALONE as the prevailing order that is charged with

* Creating Quality Schools
* Enforcing Safe Streets

For some of you New Orleans' fate was defined by “5 Days of Bush”.
The fact that the city's previous ineptness and the choice to put poor people in harms way via DEADLY FLOOD ZONE ZONING policies is not enough to see that TODAY the people in New Orleans are in no better shape to survive another storm than before. Instead of asking the people to be the primary insurance of their own salvation – you look to the President (well at least the other president. )

Team Obama isn't too interested in discussing the new Republican Party chairman, as was evident at today's WH press briefing:

Q Michael Steele, you guys didn't come out with a statement on Michael Steele. Why? What is — has the President reached out to Michael Steele? He has made several comments about the President, to include: “How do you like me now?” He is the other African American now heading a major party in this country.

MR. GIBBS: I would direct him to somebody over at the DNC.
