I did not have a problem w/ Burris. I'm burned but Blago always had the upper hand because he was legally bound to make an appointment. Now Burris is tainted.

I see your point Rikyrah...but why did Burris open up this Hornet's nest after being confirmed and seated. Burris is the one who decided to retract or clarify his having inDEED spoken to Blago's people about money.

Now, the only reason I can see for Burris doing such is that he was making a pre-emptive strike, against possible tape recordings of him that have been made known to him.

Otherwise, he could have kept his lips zipped.

He said he read that Article about ' Black Preachers ask Burris to resign'....but, there were no names.

Aren't we missing a key variable in this equation? That Barack was pretty much, for a fleeting time, the King of America. He should have gotten everyone in a room (except Blago–just sent him messages thru intermediaries) and hammered this out–like Marty Sheen in about 12 West Wing episodes lol or a lot of other presidents.

As I said, putting Rahm and a cadre of detached white yuppies and Clintonites in charge hasn't exactly been awe inspiring. And the crap will catch up with him…
