Games People Play......what a jacked up political world we live in:
WASHINGTON — A conservative watchdog group has sued the Senate for refusing to immediately seat Roland Burris as the new senator from Illinois.
The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in federal court in Washington on behalf of an Illinois resident. The suit was filed by Judicial Watch, whose lawyers say the Senate's refusal to seat Burris is unconstitutional.
Burris was appointed by Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (blah-GOY'-uh-vich) to the Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.
Senate Democrats and Obama have said anyone appointed by Blagojevich, who is embroiled in a corruption investigation, would be tainted and should not be allowed to represent Illinois.
The Senate on Tuesday refused to swear Burris in with the rest of the new senators. But Burris said Wednesday he should be able to join the Senate soon. http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/co...
whiterosebuddy
I agree with this Judicial watchdog group. The US Senate is violating the very Constitution they were sworn to uphold by not seating Burris. Burris is qualified under the US Constitution and his appointment was legal.
Good for the Judicial Watchdog group and the Il citizen that filed.

The RNC Debate: Too Hot For C-Span? By Eric Kleefeld - January 7, 2009, 1:02PM The candidates for Republican National Committee chair have been talking about how to effectively campaign in the era of YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. But it looks like they're having problems with technology that first became widespread back when Eisenhower was president.
A C-Span staffer has informed us that the RNC voted to close today's meeting, which is being held as a forum for the leadership candidates, and eject the cameramen and press so it won't be carried on TV or elsewhere.
The Republican National Committee members obviously want to hear some Frank discussion of the issues and the state of their party -- so much that they don't want the public hearing what's said.
I guess they didn't want people to hear when the racist talk starts.

D even though in the past I went over the line I really respect and enjoy our debates I had with you. Please tell me what do Republicans stand for?Is going more right wing and batsh@t crazy really their game plan?
It's coming down to the Palinites vs. the Republicans with common sense.
The Palinites want to throw out all the "RINOs" and moderates and get back to hardcore conservatism....not realizing that since the country has a degree of center-rightness about itself, that puts them on the fringe.
Those of us Republicans/conservatives who have sense are trying to find the way to maintain our conservatism while not taking it to extremes.
A lot is going to be cleared up later in the month when the new RNC chairman is picked. That'll give the direction of the party, and give anyone who isn't completely down a chance to opt out early.
The only way true bipartisanship can be achieved is for the Republicans with Common Sense to meet up with the Democrats with equal common sense.
That means we leave out Reid, Pelosi and Lieberman (Lieberman y'all can have BTW) and you leave out McConnell, Hatch, and the other whackjobs,( even though Inohofe is borderline certifiable)
We don't want Reid, and barely want to hang on to Pelosi.
Murtha ain't going anywhere until the troops come home and the cesspool known as Walter Reed Hospital is reformed and cleaned up to where a hospital taking care of wounded vets should be.
We keeping Burris, no matter what Hard-Time Harry says - no one's listening to him.
And we'll PAY hard cash to get rid of the CBC, save for Barbara Lee, Bobby Scott (sorry, I know you don't like him, but WE do), Jesse, Jr., Donna Edwards, Keith Ellison, Maxine Waters, John Conyers, John Lewis and Gentleman Jim Clyburn.
The rest we can trade for baseball field chalk dust and shyt on a stick.

TOLEDO, Ohio – Joe The Plumber is putting down his wrenches and picking up a reporter's notebook.
The Ohio man who became a household name during the presidential campaign says he is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for the conservative Web site pjtv.com.
Samuel J. Wurzelbacher (WUR'-zuhl-bah-kur) says he'll spend 10 days covering the fighting.
He tells WNWO-TV in Toledo that he wants to let Israel's "'Average Joes' share their story."
Wurzelbacher gained attention during the final weeks of the campaign when he asked Barack Obama about his tax plan.
He later joined Republican John McCain on the campaign trail. At one stop, he agreed with a McCain supporter who asked if he believed a vote for Obama was a vote for the death of Israel. Information from: WNWO-TV, http://www.nbc24.com/

rikyrah: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2009 On His "JOURNEY TO JANUARY 20, 2009!" Yaaaaa!! :>)
President-elect Barack Obama met Wednesday in the Oval Office with the only four people who truly know what he’s about to face: President George W. Bush and three-ex presidents, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter. It was the first time since 1981 that all the living ex-presidents came together at the White House, then for Ronald Reagan.
The prepared remarks of President-elect Barack Obama in Washington on his pick for White House chief performance officer.
Good morning.
By now, we all know that we are facing a crisis in our economy, one that requires immediate and decisive action to spur the creation of new jobs as we lay the foundation for future growth. And with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan that Congress will soon be debating, we intend to deliver that change.
But we committed to more change than that. We committed to change the way our government in Washington does business so that we’re no longer squandering billions of tax dollars on programs that have outlived their usefulness or exist solely because of the power of a lobbyist or interest group. We can no longer afford to sustain the old ways when we know there are new and more efficient ways of getting the job done.
Even in good times, Washington can’t afford to continue these bad practices. In bad times, it’s absolutely imperative that Washington stop them and restore confidence that our government is on the side of taxpayers and everyday Americans.
Just today, the Congressional Budget Office announced that the deficit we are inheriting for this budget year will be $1.2 trillion. And we know that our Recovery and Reinvestment plan will necessarily add more. My own economic and budget team projects that, unless we take decisive action, even after our economy pulls out of its slide, trillion dollar deficits will be a reality for years to come.
But as I said yesterday, our problem is not just a deficit of dollars. It’s a deficit of accountability…a deficit of trust.
So change and reform can’t just be election-year slogans. They must become fundamental principles of government
That’s why the appointment I’m announcing today is among the most important I will make.
During the campaign, I said that we must scour this budget, line-by-line, eliminating what we don’t need, or what doesn’t work, and improving the things that do.
As the first Chief Performance Officer, working with Peter Orszag and Rob Nabors at the Office of Management and Budget, Nancy Killefer is uniquely qualified to lead that effort.
For nearly thirty years – as a leader at McKinsey & Company, and as Assistant Secretary for Management, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer at Treasury under President Clinton — Nancy has built a career out of making major American corporations and public institutions more efficient, effective and transparent.
Nancy is an expert in streamlining processes and wringing out inefficiencies so that taxpayers and consumers get more for their money. And during her time at Treasury, she helped bring the Department into the twenty-first century, modernizing the IRS and preparing systems for Y2K.
But Nancy also understands that at the end of the day, government services are delivered by people. That’s why she’s always worked tirelessly to empower employees to take matters into their own hands: to rethink outmoded ways of doing things, to embrace new systems and technologies, and to take initiative in developing better practices.
When Nancy was offered her first position at Treasury, she responded, “If you’re willing to embrace significant change, then you’re looking at the right person. But if you just want to keep the trains running on time, don’t ask me to do this job.”
When I heard that, I knew I’d chosen exactly the right person for the challenges we face. And I will be instructing members of my cabinet and key members of their staffs to meet with Nancy soon after we take office – and on a regular basis thereafter – to discuss how they can run their agencies with greater efficiency, transparency and accountability.
I will also see to it that we apply these principles of budget reform to the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Plan. This plan will call for dramatic investments to revive our flagging economy; save or create three million new jobs, mostly in the private sector; and lay a solid foundation for future growth. In order to make these investments that we need, we’ll have to cut the spending that we don’t – and I’ll be relying on Nancy to help guide that process.
In the end, though, meeting the challenges of rebuilding our economy and bringing a new sense of responsibility to Washington isn’t just about rearranging numbers on a balance sheet – it’s about renewing people’s trust in their leadership. Because in order to restore confidence in our economy, we must restore the American people’s confidence in their government – that it’s on their side, spending their money wisely, to meet their families’ needs. I am confident that with Nancy’s leadership, and the efforts of leaders on both sides of the aisle, we will do just that.
President-elect Barack Obama met in the Oval Office today with President Bush and three former occupants of the White House: former Presidents Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter.
Mr. Obama called the meeting an “extraordinary gathering.”

The apparent decision to seat Roland Burris came after aides to President-elect Barack Obama contacted senior Senate Democrats and suggested that they reverse course and accept Gov. Rod Blagojevich's controversial appointment, according to a senior Dem congressional aide.
Just minutes after the decision to seat Burris was reported, Obama offered the veteran Illinois pol praise and promised a working relationship.
"That is a Senate matter," he said of the news. "But I know Roland Burris, obviously he is from my home state. He is a fine public servant, if he gets seated then I am going to work with Roland Burris like all other senators to make sure that the people if Illinois and the people across the country are served."
Confusion remains as to what will happen with Burris. While reports signaled his imminent seating, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said the AP report was "wrong," and that "there have been no decisions."

Pilgrimology 101: Rules? What Rules?
(CNN) – Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin's grandchild Tripp and fiance of daughter Bristol, quit his job earlier this week after reports that his lack of a high school diploma made him ineligible for the apprentice position he'd held since fall.
Johnston's father Keith told the Anchorage Daily News that his son felt the move was "the best thing to do to kind of calm the waters, so to speak," and that his son's missing educational qualification was "just something that slipped through the cracks."
"You guys are watching him so tightly," Johnston told the paper. "He's being treated different than an average 18-year-old kid. He has to do everything by the book now."
Palin herself called the report a "a political potshot taken at me," that could "destroy a young man's opportunity for work."
Town
No, Mr. Johnston. In the real world people with GEDs don't get the opportunities the rest of us get and people in the real world get the boot from their jobs if they don't have the qualifications.
msmartin
He didn't even have a GED. People with GEDs can work their way to opportunities. Many have done it.
While there's a fair amount of criticism/controversy that the Palins/Johnstons have brought on themselves....people really just need to leave them alone, at this point.
Miranda
Well if its true that they accepted in the neighborhood of $300k for the baby photos, that would mean they want to be public figures, so a certain amount of criticism about things like oh...being GIVEN a job without the proper qualifications, would be fair game.
Against Race Politics
If your girl, Sarah Palin leaves society alone I will let it go! LOL Until then as long as there are stories out there about them I will probably always have a smart comment prepared and ready to aim!
I've only got one girl, and Sarah ain't her name.....

It's not near as bad as her calling PE Obama a terrorist.
RobM
D You are so wrong here. Gov Palin's daughter is now a"WHITE" single non working mother in her teens w/ an illegitimate child. AfricanAmericans are dogged like escaped slaves over this issue. That skank Palin wasn't above throwing it in everyone's face during her campaign; "my good daughter and son in law to be." Now we find out he has pedaled white skin priviledge into a job he was unqualified for and forced to leave in the light of day but be African American and no matter your qualifications you obtained the job fraudulently(affirmative action baby). According to you we are looking for blood. You're damn right. We have no problem pointing out your hypocrisy and calling you for it. It goes to that meme AfricanAmericans have to be so morally pure to make our points.
Against Race Politics
Well Robert, there is one difference-what makes Bristol BETTER than others is that she wasn't forced to go on welfare. Her parents can take care of her, Levi, AND the baby. And now with the 300K for the pictures...poor minority's can only be the poster child for welfare.
The point's been proven, even to me (ask some of the posters who've been around a bit about my thoughts on racism in general)....why keep hammering? What purpose does it serve?
Admiral_Komack
"But doesn't it get old after a while? "
Nope.
Not when the evangelicals criticize Black and Latino out of wedlock births but gush over Bristol and Levi: "They Chose Life!"
RobM
What purpose does hammering us serve? Why should we turn the other cheek? This goes to the idea that we have to prove ourselves the morally superior? When we want equal opportunity it means both sides of any issue. It is white and Jewish people whom are afraid of us acheiving power and taking revenge and acting like them but they refuse to acknowledge that they are the ones perpetuating those feelings by denouncing people like Gov Palin, Sen McCain, Hilliary Clinton, Jay Rockefeller, Chuck Schumer, Richard Daley, Stenny Hoyer, et al. this is the same problem you have w/ your political party and hope for a positive resolution but have flung back in your face constantly. when are you going to realize it's piss not rain.
Okay....but right now, you have the high ground, so to speak. People can say what they want, and while it may get old/annoying/offensive, you (we?) have something that, for at least the next 4-8 years, no one else can have.
So why come back down to the mud?
RobM
Sorry should read ..... afriad of us achieving power, taking revenge by acting like them....... and ..... by not denouncing people like Gov Palin

I can't be the only one here that watched MSNBC last night and saw not one, but two MSNBC hosts, Davis Shuster and Keith Olbermann, WRONGLY identify Kurt Schmoke, the fomer mayor of Baltimore and Dean of Howard's law school, as Scooter Libby's former defense attorney, Ted Wells. Their inability to discern two Black men might be forgivable if Chris Matthews hadn't had both Schmoke and his co-counsel, Tim Wright, on his show one hour PRIOR to Shuster's show and three hours prior to Olbermann's show.
Denise
Now see I thought I saw Shuster identify Schmoke as some Libby-ite named William Jeffress.
It's not just MSNBC. A couple weeks ago, Fox News (Hannity and Colmes I think) used file footage to misidentify someone as Valerie Jarrett on at least two separate occasions.
A lot of people have done a lot of complaining about Congressional Democrats, especially Senate Democrats. Were they briefed about torture and illegal wiretapping? Did they know and do nothing? Are they complicit?
And who are they? Things have changed. They are under scrutiny. Ours, and Obama's
Today we know of two who do not deserve trust. Dianne Feinstein and Jay Rockefeller came out of the closet and showed their true Blue Dog colors by opposing Leon Panetta, or at least opposing the manner in which his appointment was announced (or leaked).
We're going to be seeing more of this. And when some Democrats oppose people like Panetta, who was a strong opponent of torture and wiretapping, they identify themselves as the same people who secretly pushed the Bush agenda along in Congress, giving in at every turn.
President Obama is bound to piss off a lot of people, even those who support him. Rick Warren is a good example. I'll take a dozen Rick Warrens bellowing to God in public in exchange for Obama appointees Dawn Johansen, David Ogden, Elena Kagan and Tom Perrelli who will help rehabilitate the Justice Department.
Progressives cannot behave like right-wingers and begin to jump ship when Obama does something that steps on their own personal agenda. Your agenda is yours and Obama's is his.
So far he is living up to his campaign promises, pretty much.
The next time you find yourself getting pissed off at Obama, say these words out loud,"George Bush."
But Blue Dog Democrats be warned. We're watching you very carefully. Your butts are at stake.
RobM
Those two are on the Select Senate Intelligence committee. They have been briefed in detail about torture in a secure room where they sign a statement/pledge not to discuss anything in the room even to other members of the committee. They have every reason to be afraid because Panetta can expose them without leaking a single secret. The more I watch the preinagural jockeying for PPM(power, prestige and money) it becomes clearer and clearer President Obama bigggest problem is going to be from the old bull committee chairs in both houses whom are going to be under enormous pressure to STFU and pass the program without much reward. so they are throwing up as much chaff as possible to get Obama to slow down endangering the whole country in ways they can't even imagine and their own positions as well. With the exception of the Clintons for whom I want nothing but the worst under any and all situations, I do not think even many of the people in Washington realize Obama is willing to give them all the public credit in the world if they achieve his goals. so they should all be afraid.

rikyrah: Here they come - Reid/Burris meeting: Burris: 2 Ph.D's, 2 law degrees!
CHICAGO SOS signature in courts. Should be resolved quickly!
Burris will prepare a document of response tomorrow.
Burris has NOT made this a RACIAL ISSUE!
Richard Durbin: I have known him for over 22 years. The Senate carefully scrutinized the PROCESS! Burris told me that the issue was NOT RACIAL. I called SOS & told them NOT to DELAY their decision. [IMHO: THIS IS BS!! They should have gotten Jessie White's SIGNATURE!!] My state has gone through a beating in the media. We have good people in Illinois!! We have a P-E and a fine Senator TO BE!!
QUESTIONS for REID:
REID: All of this has brought about TRANSPARENCY in the process. [HAH!!] The Senate makes the RULES NOT Durbin & I. When you have a GOV. who is charged with some "bad things" you have to be careful/look at the rules.
CHUCKY T: Did THEY speak using "WIGGLE ROOM!!"
Justice58
Wait A Minute....
Now it's being reported; the Burris Senate situation is not a done deal. Dems are in talks about the situation. (According To Chris Matthews)
Burris isn't promising to be a caretaker. Reid is beside himself because he's being punked and can't see straight.
I'm surprised that Dick Durbin is going along with this bullshit. I like him alot, but he needs to step aside and let the rule of law dictate the seating of Burris, not politics.
You are correct here, Craig. He won't be a caretaker. But they have no alternative but to seat him. He won't get the backing of the party for the primaries in 2010. So, again, this seat went from safe to toss up. Don't think all this drama has not affected folks here in Illinois, IT HAS.
Even corrupt incumbent senators are tough to beat. See Stevens and Coleman.
I'm sure you folks are affected. But next November is almost two years away and a lot can happen between now and then.
I have faith that he'll be re-elected.
Against Race Politics
Craig, you got that right!
Well like I said yesterday b/f Justice sent me to the corner the court of public opinion changes as easily as Lindsay Lohan changes her sexuality, Paris Hilton gets a new boyfriend, Robert Downey Jr goes to rehab, Britney Spears well ..does anything.
There is no telling what can happen b/t now and then so I hope we can rest the "taint" argument for now.
Micheline
We all knew this is a kabuki theater. IMHO, both sides had contributed to this unnecessary drama.

If ever a situation begged for Big Mama to come in and take over, its this one. Ridiculous.
Against Race Politics
Big Mama would have handled this a long time ago! LOL!
rikyrah: CHUCKY T. JUST is NOT TRYING to "GET IT!"
1. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN HANDLING INTERNATIONAL ISSUES
2. I CAIN'T HELP HOW PEOPLE INTERPRET MY "SILENCE!" ['cause, I have EXPLAINED my SILENCE!! YOU JUST don't want to accept MY RESPONSE!! 2 BAD!!]
3. I AM IN CHARGE UP IN HERE!! GET OVER YOURSELF annnnnnnd YOUR PRESUMED IMPORTANCE!! YOU R NOT!!! I AM THE P-E! YOU ARE A "REPORTER!!"
4. WIGGLE ROOM!!??? That's what BRILLIANT PEOPLE DO!!
WHEW!! ***shakin' my head***
Admiral_Komack
Just like Harry Reid.
They spend eight years bending over backwards for Bush, and NOW they want to show how tough they are.
What a bunch of miserable pricks.
(Sorry for the language GreenLadyHere, but this country has serious problems and people are STILL game-playing)
GreenLadyHere
Admiral: Ya mean that they have FOUND THEIR "JEWELS"?? :>) :>)
LANGUAGE?: VERY APPROPRIATE!! :>) :>)
THANK YOU!! [for the sentiment] :>)

Admiral, I saw this coming. They didn't support Obama from the beginning. That is why he was wise to continue contact with his grass roots constituency.
GreenLadyHere
rorysmomma: You got it!! What's done in the DARK WILL come to LIGHT!
Mr. President-Elect Obama KNEW!!!
That's why I am content to let him make these/HIS decisions. The internal "stuff" that we will "neva' get to KNOW is what HE KNOWS!!
Admiral_Komack
Reid: Give Stevens a Get-of-Jail Card
Some fascinating tidbits that didn't make the cut from Bresnahan's must-read sitdown with Harry Reid:
The Majority Leader thinks former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens shouldn't face jail time for his seven-count federal conviction last year, telling our Manu Raju, who was also in the room, "My personal feeling, you guys, I don't know what good that [would do]... He was a real war hero too, you know. He's been punished enough."
Members of Congress, he added, had long been used to not disclosing gifts until the rules had been tightened. And he said the 85-year-old Stevens simply did not adapt to those changing rules.
"It's a different world we live in, and Stevens did not understand that," Reid said.
Reid also said he was willing to have the FBI release transcripts of his chat with Rod Blagojevich about Obama succession.
"I have no problem with that, let them release them. I don't care."
Michelle Bernard just said Jimmy Carter called Burris and told him he'd be a fine senator and that he should not acquiesce to any pressure from the powers that be.

rikyrah: NOW the QUESTIONS:
1. Medicare?? Working on OUR budget plans; especially on "entitlements"
2. Gaza [Chuck Todd]: Trying to press him for a response: Mr. PEO- NOT!! One President AT A TIME!!! ONE VOICE from the USA on International matters! It would be IMPRUDENT of me. "I CAN'T CONTROL HOW PEOPLE INTERPRET MY SILENCE!!" I have been MONITORING the SITUATION!! CHUCK!!! [ENOUGH!! He didn't say this BUT chuck knew what he meant!] HAH!! :>)
3. On the ECONOMY: NO EARMARKS!! MUST USE THE $$$ WISELY! Must have TRANSPARENCY!! I will INSURE that taxpayers can track how the money is spent. E.G., RE-VAMP ALL FEDERAL BUILDINGS for ENERGY EFFICIENCY!!
4. Roland Burris: That's a Senate MATTER. But I will work with him like I work with all other Senators. He's a fine public servant.
THANK YOU GUYS!! :>)

Dayam!
Last time I saw a black person surrounded by that many armed white folks goin' to school...
NBC made a grave error giving him his new post. He's a moron and a troublemaker, i.e. a corporate shill. He needs to stick to election analysis because that's the only thing he knows how to do.
spirit_55z
Craig, say that again. Chuck Todd couldn't find his way around a news room with out an election MAP.
Map boy needs to go on a retreat until the next election cycle.
Agreed. He is on the "how can we monitize the news", when it should be "how can we make the news better, precise, transparent and on the up and up." This is why these news organizations are in the tank and folks find their info ELSEWHERE.
pjamma
I agree, he is failing miserably at this new post.
Val
Craig - co-signing. I agree that he is a moron.
Sepia
ITA Craig.
Did you see his comments after the presser? Truly pathetic. Claiming PEO has a knack for giving himself "wiggle room", which is nothing more that code for: "That Negro is slick!". GMAB!
He's out of his league in every way. He looks uncomfortable, and he's not used to being "handled" by a Black man. In short, he's a punk. Y'all can pardon my candor, but he needs to be bent over.
msmartin
Craig!
rorysmomma
I was under the impression that he already was. I don't know who he is screwing, but he is the absolute worst choice imaginable for meet the press.
You must be talking about that other moronic shill David Gregory. It's easy to get the two confused these days. Chuckie has David's old job and he's going to be just as bad at it.
rorysmomma
My bad.... I am almost as bad as the white folks.... They all are starting to look alike to me.
Hmmm.....this first year is gonna be quite fun. Looks like quite a few people gonna be getting some reality checks on what's what in 2009....starting with some democratic leaders.
rorysmomma
You know that the majority of those folks are used to calling black people boys...... I may just put hail to the chief on my ipod.
Sepia
Well, well, well! Look who had a big ol' bowl of Gangsta Flakes for breakfast.
I believe a JJPer said that PEO will have more trouble from Dems than Repugs and it's starting already:
1. Blago 2. Pelosi 3. Feinstein 4. Reid
Admiral_Komack
"Harry Reid: I don't work for Obama."
Then who do you work for, you gutless asshole
You are a pitiful excuse for a Majority Leader.
Lyndon Baines Johnson would routinely be kicking your groveling ass, were he alive.

I second that! Reid is too weak as Majority Leader. He need to go!

Hi MsKitty,
Happy New Year! Glad to see you're back!
Harry Reid's a weak ass leader. Turning Burris away at the door was straight out of the 60's.
MsKitty
Thanks and Happy New Year to you! I actually came back from Christmas break on Monday, but it took me that long to catch up on my work. Had 600 e-mails waiting for me in my inbox, almost made me feel like turning around and going back home LOL.

Glad you're back!

Houston-area White Cop Shoots Unarmed Son of Ex-Major Leaguer.
Robbie Tolan, the son of ex-major league baseball player Bobbie Tolan, was shot by police in his own driveway. The underlying premise was that police thought that the SUV that Robbie Tolan was driving was stolen. The SUV actually belonged to the Tolan family.
This sounds like a case that's tailor-made for Eric Holder's DOJ.
Yup, this rings of what happened to my cousin out in New Jersy. You see a 19 year old black youth driving a luxury vehicle? Yes, the police harassed him on every corner and even parked outside of the house profiling him until one day when they swooped in and realized that they got in wrong. Not only was my cousin wrongfully arrested but he also had bruises from what is an obvious assault yet the police deny it. My family sued the city. This happened back in 2002.
Its also interesting reading the comments from obviously mostle white people!
Against Race Politics

Rhonda, funny you said that. Earlier this morning I was reading an article on CNN.com regarding a women that sued after a knife was left inside her head ( I believe) from a 2002 violent act against her and the comments surprised me and I could tell they were white. One commenter said something to the affect of what was she doing to be attacked in the first place and how people were always looking for a hand out or come up. She sued b/c she was having headaches due to lazy doctors who apparently took the same approach as the commentor..surely this VICTIM wasn't worth a $50 X-ray to make sure she was treated properly before being discharged the very next day! Oh and the commentor much have be a genius b/c she also figured out from the brief article alone that the headaches were NOT caused by a freakin KNIFE being left in someone's head!!!!!
Against Race Politics
One more thing, the commentor asked what kind of "lyfestyle" the VICTIM was living ot be attacked in the first place. I assume good CLEAN wholesome Whites don't get violently attacked??? Of course this women was DIRTY.
Justice58
RonnieB,
Not surprising at all, coming out of racist Bellaire.
whiterosebuddy
How the hell you shoot a man in his OWN damn driveway, without asking for the vehicle registration?
What the hay?
Now this is some crazy shyt:
" Tolan and his cousin were ordered to lie on the ground in front of the family's home.
Family members said Tolan was shot when he questioned an officer who had reportedly pushed his mother against a wall. "
Justice58
I lived in Houston for 8 years. It wasn't too far from Bellaire. Bellaire has some racist ass bigots! I know people that have had encounters with Bellaire Police!
Micheline
I use to live in Houston but I always felt the cops in Katy were the most racist than other parts of the Houston area.
Justice58
Katy most likely has it's racist bigots too. I don't doubt that at all. After moving to Houston, I received a warning about the racist ass police in Bellaire. They'd be driving behind you, following you. And on some occasions, have told some people to keep it moving. So, this shooting doesn't surprise me at all!
bittersweet
Yes! I posted that goosebump moment... I keep looking at the pics, and it is hard for me to process. Everyday, this will be the Obama girls' experience.
Reid is a weasel. And he needs to look in the mirror about his own racial bullshit. He can shout all he wants about how fair he is, but his bias is blatant.

Yep. Chris Matthews stated on MSNBC that Dems lost the PR on the Burris situation.
Harry Reid trying to play hardball in keeping his all white boy club....white! (MY Opinion)
