What are you talking about?? lol. Jamie Foxx was funny, his impersonation of Obama was spot on lol. But he was the only funny comedian. I was glad that Beyonce didn't go all over the place vocally when she sang America the Beautiful, I'm not crazy about her style of singing lol.

You're thinking about your own enjoyment. This is what some people probably counted on, and why key Committee representatives, when asked questions, are somehow out of range to hear the outrage.

It was a wonderful prayer, too.

This is wrong. HBO and the Committee share a responsibility for this debacle. I just want to say, you wrong, people. You know you wrong.

Wow. really? I just came back from Baltimore and I was on the mall. Look, I understand that many don't want to feel they are being dissed, or shunned from the festivities, but I also find it quite hard to believe that this was some conspiracy to “insult the gays.” I thought it was a great concert, and everyone was in a good mood, laughing and dancing. People really need to learn how to pick their battles. This ain't it.

This doesn't make sense. If the Inaugural Committee sold HBO all of the rights to the concert, then the responsibility is on HBO. HBO determines how they air the program.

And wasn't Robinson invited to participate at the concert way before the Rick Warren controversy? If so, then that makes the arguement that his appearance was supposed to put “salve on a wound” for the LGBT community.

This is bad news. No matter where the blame lies, I believe that the Obama Inaugural committee owes an explanation and an apology to America.

The theme was supposed to be “we are one” yet “conveniently” the non-heterosexual ones were deleted. This will not sit well, nor does it bode well for an inclusionary government. Except if you're rick warren.

Yes, but...

This was important.
The fact that the bishop couldn't be heard either by the crowds or through HBO is considered a big sign of disrespect, and the Inaugural Committee and HBO did Obama no favors by continuing to stoke the fires. Obama didn't even hear the invocation either.

This is bad. Real bad.

Oh and by the way, there is a website called After Elton and it did have information about who might be responsible for this mess.

Sepia, I am afraid that it may have been the Inaugural Committee that in effect scrubbed the Robinson invocation, as Raw Story reports here.

The story also has a video of Robinson's blessing. Supposedly a malfunctioning speaker also prevented people from hearing it as well.

This isn't good. They're going to make sure Warren is heard, big time. It's really too bad because as the journalist states, the controversy over Warren had died down. Pam Spaulding of Pam's House Blend 's remarks on this diss s also excerpted here.

It was an awesome moment in history. I was closer to the Smithsonian side of the event. Everyone was cheerful, dancing, hugging … The Jumbtrons worked very well and allowed everyone to be able to see the stage! Subway ride was smooth.

HBO reported (via After.Elton.com) that the decision not to broadcast Robinson came from the inaugural committee. HBO also did not identify the Gay Men's Chorus, although every other chorus was named.

Indeed, so much for crumbs, no matter whose decision it was.

I've visited Pam's House Blend, Aravosis' Americablog, Raw Story, and HuffPo. I don't think very many of them are blaming Obama; they're blaming HBO and sensing a set-up.

Kinda like what happened when Sally Field bashed the Iraq War during her Emmy award speech and was censored by ABC.
