Reading NMP's post gets me pumped!

I'm gonna start crying. It's the same kind of feeling I got when I heard Keith Olbermann announce Barack Obama as the next President of the United States.

And it all began with Iowa!

I hear you. I began to believe after Iowa, but I still suffered from the emotional roller coaster better known as the primaries. The 11 state sweep last Feb. was the most relaxing part of the race.

When Barack started off with “they said this day would never come…” and you could hear someone in the audience scream back “yes they did!” I KNEW. The game done changed. I was calling everyone in my phone book just screaming “I told ya'll he could win!” I was riding with Team O since the summer of '07, but Iowa made it real that I wasn't pounding the pavement for nothing.

16 more days till sanity is restored.

That's the night I became a true believer---when I thought that I might finally get to feel proud of my country for the first time in my adult life.

From January 3rd to November 4th there were many ups and downs.

good because it was. I was just making that conservative right wingnut argument. There were few moments that didnt utterly piss me off in the primary. I thought the attacks on michelle were attacks on intellectual black women everywhere, and the attacks on rev wright were no more than conservatives doing what they always do, being hypocrites. i got to see barack speak in the SC primary and he actually spoke to me on the phone. My sister saw him in NC she held up the phone as he was walking by and he asked me if i voted for him. All i could muster is of course. Im sure i sounded like a school girl but it was worth it lol.
