I love myself some Barack Obama, but one man is not the entire AA community. Why is it that Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act is being challenged shortly after Obama gets in to the WH.

Dem dar folks be tricky beyond belief. We (not just Black folk) elected a Black man, now dem dar folks is trying to make sure it doesn't happen again. This would be funny if it weren't so tragic.

There will be no mules, "coloreds only," back-o-the bus, you can't vote shenanigans going on up in here!

GTFOH with that POST-RACIAL BULLSHIT about electing our first Black PRESIDENT to conjure up any legal reasons to suppress our votes.

And I definitely think expanding the states beyond the current nine southern states is something to consider. The Voters Rights acts needs to remain on a national level.
