Where the "Republicans are ran out of office"....are the people that you care most about lead to PROSPERITY in the new Democratically controlled bastion?

My greatest frustration with you Progressive Fundamentalists is that you operate mostly at the Democratic/Republican layer as you PURPORT to be fighting for:

* Better Education
* Justice and Public Safety
* Better Local Economy
* Healthier Lives

You focus on supporting people who are MOST ALIGNED with your position while you are in your AGGRIEVED state of mind. You fail to take a step back and look at IF YOU HAVE SUCCEED where you have CONTROL of the map.

Instead things are often the REVERSE. Take a look at where the Progressives have the most control of the map and then run down the list of elements that you CLAIM to be advancing to determine if your CONTROL has brought these forth.

Instead you all are PERMANENT STRUGGLERS always seeking to bring forth the elements on this list and in need of a fight against those who stand in your way. WHEN THE OPPOSITION MOVES FROM YOUR DOMAIN and leaves you to BRING FORTH WHAT YOU DESIRE within the district that you now control - you simply EXPAND THE POLICE TAPE and demand that the next higher level of government provide you the resources.

Keep in mind that when the OPPOSITION held the seats that you all now hold (ie: mayor or local school board) you PURGED THEM because they were failing you or the police were beating the hell out of you. Now that your fellow Progressive holds the seat - it is time to EXPAND and Move the Goal posts before you can expect to receive delivered benefits.

Thus, I surmise - THE PURGING OF EVIL, RACIST REPUBLICANS FROM YOUR MIDST has NOT lead to the BOUNTIFULNESS THAT YOU WERE SOLD ON ELECTION NIGHT.

All it does is sets up the next campaign where your ideology is expanded to the next plateau of government control. You will look past the present MAYOR'S failings and support the governor.

The WORST POSSIBLE scenario for the PROGRESSIVE is to BE IN CONTROL OF THE GOVERNMENT and thus lose all of your ENEMIES to direct your blame upon. Now that your fellow Progressive holds the seat – it is time to EXPAND and Move the Goal posts before you can expect to receive delivered benefits.

Thus, I surmise – THE PURGING OF EVIL, RACIST REPUBLICANS FROM YOUR MIDST has NOT lead to the BOUNTIFULNESS THAT YOU WERE SOLD ON ELECTION NIGHT.

While you all like speaking TRUTH TO POWER you don't like speaking “TRUTH TO PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS WHO ARE IN POWER”.

By: Constructive_Feedback

[quote]Real nice. Go check out the University of Wisconsin Urban Policy Institute. For some strange reason where Blacks are most concentrated, Democrats are most powerful AND the unemployment rates for Black people in these areas have been in double digits for a PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME.

The "Clinton Boom" that you and other Progressives salivate over was an employment boom driven off of MARKET BASED FORCES. It seems to me that for Republicans bipartisanship means caving into their demands with little regard for anything else. I agree that there are things in the bill that are pork but you have to come together to work those things out. Didn't the Dems add more tax cuts to appease the GOP? And if you think you can get the economy going without spending then you are living in a dream world. We had eight years of failed tax policies and the GOP is largely responsible. We are in this mess because of the mishandling of the economy by Bush with the help of the congressional Republicans and they get to stand on the sidelines and cheer while our economy continues to flounder. They are angling for 2010 and hoping just like their buddy Rush that it fails and they can retake the House and bragging rights. They care nothing for the country and are only concerned with their petty political fights. Yet, do any of them plan to turn down the federal funds that will be trickling into their districts? I highly doubt it.

Let's see if the media reports this rather than trying to act like bi-partisanship failed on the part of the Dems.
