I asked folks to email me their accounts and/or pictures if they went to the Inauguration, because I love hearing on-the-ground reports from folks.

he later apologizes with a line that i believe colbert could expand bigger than the tagging of any political scandal with -gate. Well, I'll use it anyway:
“I sincerely regret that I made those cookies.”

the shame here is not the intent but the ignorance. this isn't innocent ignorance but rather the kind that fuels actions and attitudes. it was so ig'nant that i am sure he won't be hemmed up for the very serious raising of the specter of assasination.

please pardon the follow here, but just in case you thought I was speaking of just the owner's ignorance… he sold out of the “drunken n1993r cookies” in that bastion of liberal thought, The Village, nyc.

His clueless (or insanely clued-in) and calm defense makes me think he may not be lying.
the point here is not for anyone to protest, not to get on any extra upinarmsedness – just awareness of the progress to be made.

absolutely. obama may well have infused some integrity in the game and, if not that, then he's given them some cover to keep doing this. millions of people are done with the dumb stuff.

In this examination of the fiasco at the inaugaural various people admit that they expected no-shows. Why is absolutely beyond me? First AfricanAmerican President not historical.
What I am really afraid of and will come out in President Obama's memoirs is that the SS knew this many people were coming , they could not provide the type of protection they had to have. They deliberately restricted access to provide it.
