i don't know if this was posted elsewhere but Van Jones was just on CNBC about 20 minutes ago.he presented a very good case for green jobs but must importantly he made the case for why our current energy situtation is one, not tenable and two, market pricing in the future will bring costs into line.
I was disappointed in that he is one of the few speakers I've ever seen have to answer viewer questions most of which were poo-poohing why solar and wind energy has to be brought into production. Yeah he went national security.

Jill: Ya know, I have seen a dramatic INCREASE in the re-cycling efforts in my neighborhood. [plastic/cans/bottles.] I know that it's an economic phenomenon because it generates $$ for the re-cyclers.

However, I am becoming INCREASINGLY sensitive to the GREEN EFFORTS that can be done annnnnd, I'm trying to do my part in this matter. I have been re-cycling foreva and will continue despite my children sayin' "Mom, just throw those empty water/soda bottles in the trash. BUT, I don't. :>) :>)

Therefore, this "project" is of interest to me. Even if I purchase 1 "Green Item", I will feel that I have done my part. This is a SERIOUS MATTER. WE [the world] cannot continue ldoing the SAME things and EXPECT our planet to SURVIVE.

Since I was active in the 70's, this reminds me of that time. It felt good to think/know that you were/are contributing to the welfare of the ENVIRONMENT! :>) :>)

Back to the 70's! PEACE! :>)
