“The Strange Death of the Woman Who Filed a Rape Lawsuit Against Bush . . . Early one Saturday afternoon in July 2003, I made a simple phone call to Margie Schoedinger, a Texas woman who filed a rape lawsuit against George W. Bush in December 2002. . . . She sounded like someone who wanted the truth to come out. And now she’s dead” (Jackson Thoreau. Retrieved November 29, 2008, from http://www.opednews.com/thoreau1103bush_rape_su...).
She is dead because George W. Bush murdered her. This is, in a way, like the period of slavery in America in that a white person killed a black person, and there is no court, prosecutor, or sheriff around to uphold the rule of law or seriously pursue punishment against the killer. George W. Bush’s murder of an African-American woman is shocking to the conscience. According to the law, Bush should be incarcerated for the rest of his life or executed for this murder.

A downtown Chicago hair salon has changed its name from Ossama's Hair Design to Obama's Hair Design -- for exactly the reason you'd think:
Business is better when your name evokes one of the nation's most popular figures, not one of its most hated.
"A lot of customers stopped coming after Sept. 11," owner Mike Elsheikh said. "Old customers have come by and said, 'We like it much better.' ... This is going to work for me for sure. The name is absolutely making a huge difference."
Elsheikh, an Egyptian-born U.S. citizen from Plainfield, worked as a stylist at Ossama's when Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida launched the 2001 terrorist attacks.
Business plummeted 50 percent in the months that followed as customers shunned the suddenly unfortunately named salon, Elsheikh said.
The old owner eventually sold the business to Elsheikh, who licensed the "Obama Hair Design" name on spec during the campaign: "I had a good imagination he would win."
When Barack Obama did win the presidency, Elsheikh, 42, got moving. He officially opened the newly renamed salon at 433 S. Dearborn on Printers Row two weeks ago. Business has improved already, he said, adding people have stopped by to snap pictures of his new neon sign.
Elsheikh said he met Obama a few years ago when they both lived in the Hyde Park area. He hasn't heard anything from the president-elect since the new name went up -- and doesn't expect him to object.
"It makes a lot of sense to me to name it Obama's rather than Ossama's," Elsheikh said. "Plus Obama's gonna get Osama."
I'm sure that this kind of activity will CONTINUE! :>) :>)

I KNEW THIS FOOL WAS TRYING TO FAKE HIS DEATH AND RUN AWAY FROM A PENDING INVESTIGATION!
(CNN) -- A man whose financial management business is under investigation faked a life-or-death emergency in his private aircraft before secretly parachuting out and letting his plane crash in the Florida panhandle, authorities said Monday. Marcus Schrenker exited his small plane before it crashed, and investigators are looking for him, police say.
Marcus Schrenker exited his small plane before it crashed, and investigators are looking for him, police say. The pilot, identified as Marcus Schrenker, 38, later checked into a hotel in Alabama under a fake name and then put on a black cap and fled into woods, authorities in Alabama said, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office in Milton, Florida. Authorities are searching for Schrenker. The manager of the airport in Indiana from which the six-seat Piper PA-46 took off Sunday said that no one else was on board at takeoff. The plane crashed Sunday night in a swampy, wooded area within 50 to 75 yards of some homes in East Milton, Florida, the sheriff's office said.
An Indiana judge on Monday froze Schrenker's assets at the request of investigators looking into his business dealings, said Jim Gavin, spokesman for the Indiana secretary of state. Public documents list Schrenker as president of an Indianapolis agency called Heritage Wealth Management. Records also show Heritage Insurance Services at the same address. The address is listed in the telephone directory as the site of Icon Wealth Management. http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/01/12/florida.plane....

I tried. It was about 15 mins of the last half hour. I think Hannity was asking why more black people don't vote Republican, and Sharpton started to bring up up voting and civil rights issues, Meatloaf tried to make a point about Repubs lack of enthusiasm for funding things like education and healthcare, but Michelle Bachmann got very shouty about something so I changed the channel because no one else could talk.
Oh.........I already disliked them for entirely different reasons, so this doesn't really bother me.

Look at her wearing low cut stuff again trying to get back in the headlines. JLo must still think it's 1999 when she was wearing bedazzled headbands rolling with Puffy and his crew. JonBenet issues are on a totally different level. This little girl didn't wear heels or make up. My niece, who is 3, loves to dance and imitates every dance. I frequently make up dances for her because she loves to dance so much. Though content wise on the song... I get it.

I don't have anything against kids dancing. Both my daughters started dance classes when they were 4 years old right up until they gratduated high school.
There wasn't any self-ass slapping and sexually suggestive gyrations gong up in the classroom and certainly not at home.
The kind of dancing the little girl was doing is so inapproriate for a child-Miranda's right. It's not the least bit cute or funny to me either. The parents are opening their child up for a host of trouble, precocousius sexuality, for one.

But when will folks learn this stuff maybe maybe maybe cute at home in front of your friends in the living room when you say "Look what she's doing now". It is NOT CUTE when you put in on Youtube. Have some sense people...
What disturbs me about this video: 1. My sneaking suspicion that the little girl wasnt coming back from ballet class but rather that the adults in her life made her put on that leotard for the ensuing video.
2. She knows alot of the lyricss. Who told her what Beyonce was singing and let her watch that damn video over and over and over again?
3. The hair flips and ass slapping

Dawn of Obama era forces Republicans to take stock James Rosen
WASHINGTON — Republicans who just four years ago boasted of nearing "permanent majority rule" now watch a dynamic leader move into the White House at the helm of a resurgent Democratic Party with new footholds in longtime Republican bastions.
For Republican activists across the country, Barack Obama's inauguration as the first black president produces dread, bewilderment and grudging admiration.
"I'm in a deep depression," said Josephine Schmidt, a mother of three and a small-business owner in Atascadero, midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco in California's Central Valley.
"Obama is going to lead this country on a path we've never seen before, the path of socialism," Schmidt said. "It's going to take years and years for us to recover, if we ever do."
Schmidt and her husband, Donald, whose company makes vanilla extract, already are laying off workers in anticipation of the tax increases, health-care mandates and burdensome regulations that they're certain Obama will enact.
In Florida, where Obama became the first Democrat to win more than half the presidential vote since Lyndon Johnson in 1964, the prognosis is less grim.
"I felt that Obama just did not have enough experience, but he's surprised me," said Jeffrey Gordon, a lifelong Republican retiree in Coral Springs, north of Miami. "I've been by and large impressed by him."
He and other Republicans like Obama's Cabinet picks — especially Hillary Clinton as secretary of state — and they're pleased by the Illinois Democrat's pledge to wrap $300 billion in tax cuts into his economic stimulus plan.
"He's inheriting a horrific environment," Gordon said. "He's got a rough two years ahead of him, but so far, without him even having taken the oath, I give him high marks."
In Ohio, another red state that turned blue for Obama, Josh Keezer is struck by the president-elect's energy and sense of command.
"He's not even president yet, but he's been all over the place," said Keezer, who lives outside Toledo and teaches English to immigrants. "He's been at the White House, and he's met with Congress. He's building his experience now. He's about the best nominee the Democrats have had in quite a few years. Hopefully, his learning curve won't be as big as I thought it would be."
Obama, 47, defeated Sen. John McCain of Arizona on Nov. 4 by 53-46 percent. Obama carried nine states that President George W. Bush won in 2004, while McCain failed to turn any states that had gone for Democratic nominee John Kerry.
"Obama is going to lead this country on a path we've never seen before, the path of socialism," Schmidt said. "It's GOING TO TAKE YEARS AND YEARS FOR US TO RECOVER, if we ever do." (my caps) Socialism ROTFLMAO
I have a great deal of sympathy for small business as they really suffer from regulations and relationships that make their business success but this is a classic example of cognitive dissonance(http://www.habermas.org/cncgndis.htm).
How does she think she got to this situtation such that her business has declining or no additional demand for her products? Whom through nonfeasance, failed to protect her ability to borrow money? Republicans have no shot if this their base.

Her business is going broke due to a combination of her own poor business keeping skills and Bush, but instead of admitting that, she wants to blame Obama.
What brand of Vanilla Extract does she make? Because I want to help put her totally out of business so I can see if she will have her hand out for Obama's socialist welfare checks.
At Obama's inauguration, activists will walk a fine line
WASHINGTON — Peace activists in the nation's capital met for weeks last fall, brainstorming how they'd demonstrate their opposition at the inauguration of John McCain as president.
Then Barack Obama won the election.
What's a liberal protester to do?
"It was a happy dilemma," said Barbra Bearden, spokeswoman for Peace Action, which is affiliated with the Activist Coalition of D.C.
Washington is a town of protests, and not a week goes by, it seems, that a group isn't in front of the U.S. Capitol with bullhorns and signs calling for better education, or cheaper health care, or the beginning of peace, or an end to abortion.
With Obama's election, however, liberal organizations that have spent eight years blocking streets now find themselves working to change their message for this inauguration.
WASHINGTON — Keylon Simpkins, cooking catfish and country-fried steak at Ajax Diner in Oxford, Miss., said he really won't believe the United States has its first black president until Barack Obama takes the oath of office.
Simpkins, a 26-year-old African-American, graduated in 2007 with a political science degree from Ole Miss, the University of Mississippi, just down the road from the popular eatery.
In late September 1962, President John F. Kennedy sent thousands of federal troops to Oxford to quell riots that killed two people and injured 300 when James Meredith attempted to register as the university's first black student.
"To say that we went from having the first African-American at Ole Miss just 40-some years ago to now having the first African-American president — that's one of those things . . . " Simpkins' voice caught for a moment ". . . I don't know how to describe it. I know it happened, but I'm still waiting on the inauguration for it to sink in. It's like a shining moment in history."
Any JJPers from NYC heading to DC on Monday ? Or know of rideshares posted somewhere? I need a ride to the inauguration festivities. I have never had problems with the Chinatown bus but I am a little worried it might be overwhelmed on Monday. Bolt bus seems shady and anyway its sold out. Also have never used Megabus though it has spots open I am a little worriedbecause it only leaves from NYC every few hours. Im scared it wont show up and I'll be stranded in NYC.

Check with local churches or groups that worked on the campaign. I know in Phila, there are several who organized around their campaign offices. But also check that chartered buses have the proper parking certificate. There are a BOATLOAD of regulations they needed to follow to be allowed anywhere close to the mall.
If you have the $$, you might be surprised on what you can do on Amtrak. I talked with a reservation agent, and the closer you get to the day, the more people let their reservations slide (mistakenly or otherwise)
Besides, Union Station in DC is not that far a walk to the Capitol and Mall area.
rikyrah
My sister ONLY uses Megabus when she comes visiting from Minneapolis. I don't know about the East Coast Megabus, but I can vouch for the Midwest Megabus. They are reliable.
I know about the Chinese bus - did you go down and try and buy a ticket early? I have a friend who has done that - when she goes to Boston.
Trumystique
You can buy tickets early but its first come, first served. Usually there are several bus companies operating in Chinatown so I just take whoever is leaving first or who has seats open. But it can sometimes get Third World ( and I say that lovingly) and I am worried about that happening on Monday.
I thought some enterprising black folk would be chartering buses up the wazoo. I only see one guy on Craigslist who has been doing it for several weeks now and it seems like no one is buying.

They cannot piegonhole Obama, here another political analysis, trying in vain to describe him:
" the attempts to pinpoint Obama along the ideological spectrum have been similarly unrelenting. The right looks at his economic-stimulus plans and spies an old-school, big-government liberal. The left looks at the tax cuts in that same plan, his hawkish foreign-policy appointments and decidedly nonprogressive economic ones, and his invocation invitation to Rick Warren, and wonders, “Hey, was this guy really serious about all that centrist talk during the campaign? We thought he was only kidding, that he was one of us all along!”
Hahaha...and then they have to marvel at how he harnessed the power of the internet to create an entirely new political machine that fueled his meteoric rise to the Presidency:
"The huge sums the Obama campaign harvested from small donors via the web are justly famous. But the scale of its web-enabled grassroots network was nearly as prodigious—and just as consequential. A database containing a staggering 13 million e-mail addresses, at least 3 million of them belonging to donors. Two million active users and 35,000 self-starting affinity groups on MyBarackObama .com. A million cell-phone numbers of people who requested the campaign send text messages to them. Countless names on volunteer lists from Obama’s sprawling get-out-the-vote effort on Election Day—by which time fully 25 percent of the people who pulled the lever for him were already connected to the campaign electronically.
The political implications of this network are impossible to overstate. “They have basically invented their own party that is compatible with the Democratic Party but is bigger than the Democratic Party,” the Republican media savant Stuart Stevens, who helped to elect George W. Bush twice, argues. “Their e-mail list is more powerful than the DNC or RNC. In essence, Obama [was] elected as an independent with Democratic backing—like Bernie Sanders on steroids.”
Obama doesn't owe anyone...they all want his network database of donors...he has the power to act politically independent because of that base. Transformational political power being welded in a never before seen manner.
They are grapplin with ways to characterize Obama's strategic brillance...calling him Mr. 'indirect direction'
"He has shown time and again that unique skill of being able to guide people toward his desired conclusion with what I will call indirect direction. When the issue was his race, his name, his religion, his inexperience or what have you, he rarely (except in the big "race speech") tried to assuage voters by addressing these points directly. After the financial crisis hit in mid-September, for example, he rarely said, "Yes, I can handle this, and here's why." He laid out a few proposals, let his superior debate performances speak for themselves - and let the public watch John McCain flail. The voters reached his desired conclusion (that he was better prepared to handle the crisis) without his having to write it across the sky in letters."
Sorta reminds me of the 'nolookpass' they just are unable to predict who will have the ball when Obama is running up court with it..no telling who or where or how he will pass it off.
Interesting to watch them try to define Obama....I imagine at some point, they are going to have acknowledge like Bird did...".that was God as magic johnson, out there"
PARIS — A French black group is parading a Barack Obama-lookalike at the lower house of parliament and in Paris in a campaign to highlight its concerns about alleged racial profiling by police in France.
After a stout "Yes We Can!," American actor Michael Lamar met lawmakers at the National Assembly for Monday's start of a media blitz by the Representative Council of Black Associations.
For years, the group, known by the French acronym CRAN, has raised questions about a country that has championed a colorblind standard that sees all citizens as just French, regardless of ethnic origins _ and where collecting racial data is banned.
The group wants a meeting with Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie to discuss a survey it commissioned last year that showed "visible minorities" say they get stopped by police more often by police than other people.
Playing along after meeting Lamar, Green party lawmaker Yves Cochet said: "The presence at our side of 'Mr. Obama' is the sign that France should become as generous and egalitarian as the United States can be."
Lamar, a San Francisco native who now lives in Philadelphia, was being taken _ dressed neatly in suit and tie _ to a police station and other parts of the capital, and CRAN was filming the reactions of passers-by for an upcoming publicity spot, the group said.
The videos were also planned "to prompt dialogue on these issues that expose the backwardness of our country and its decision-makers when public opinion is concerned," it said.
Interior Ministry spokesman Gerard Gachet said French police do not stop people based on ethnic or racial backgrounds, and it would be "unthinkable" that such a policy could ever be put in place.
