Here in Austin, Texas, people are getting together to watch the inauguration on Tuesday morning (11 our time) at Scholz Garten, a venerable political watering hole. That was where my husband and I came to a huge organizational meeting for Obama's record-breaking rally in February of 2007, so I feel like the circle will be completed when I watch the inauguration there. And I am sure that the spirit of Barbara Jordan will be right there with us!

ooooh. I was in 30th Street station in Philadelphia today. They are getting ready for the event tomorrow. Some folks are a bit disappointed because the rumor was President-Elect Obama was going to do a large public event.

But that was not to be. It's a much smaller affair. Tickets were distributed mysteriously, and plans have already been made. Oh well, he will still be on his way from the city of Brotherly Love (and Sisterly Affection!)

For those in the area, according to the news, the train is pretty much doing a slow roll thru Delaware to Wilmington. A public event in Wilmington and a public event in Baltimore. I figure the Northeast Corridor from Phila to DC will be a hot mess most of the morning.

Woooo Hooooo. I'm having a moment. All the hard work we did is starting on its way to Washington DC!! Wooooo HOOOOOO
