One story I am fond of retelling is that in the beginning, the BBC expected “Doctor Who” (one of its most successful series ever) to be a failure. As a result, they gave the Producer's job to Verity Lambert – one of the first women to make it to television producer (wanting her to fail), and the Director's job for first serial was given to the first Asian ever to qualify as a BBC television Director (also, expecting and wanting him to fail). Fortunately, both of them knocked the ball out of the park, proving the BBC's executives wrong on every count.

I know that some of what has been described is just plain old-fashioned BULLYING and POWER PLAYS from which no one is immune. No argument there.

However, the difference for black folk is when the conduct is an institutional characteristic — as in, it's the way MOST black folk are treated in an industry or organization. The other difference is when the objective is to keep a person – as a member of a class (you know, as many y'all as possible) – in a position of economic inferiority.

Here is a simple way to get some DATA: Present up to a certain number of SCENARIOS [e.g., 10], and ASK US to ***raise our hand** IFFF we had that/similar experience.

From what I've seen here, I'll “BETCHA” that the DATA will show that WE ALL have had COMMON EXPERIENCES! [That would be 100%! :>)] Cain't REFUTE the IMPLICATIONS of the DATA annnnnnnnd, of NEXT STEPS for REMEDIATION!

In the meantime, volunteer some time in with a church or food bank to help you through this patch. It's amazing how rewarding it is to HELP OTHERS while you're in a storm.

For some it was simply trying to get Obama into the White House by any means necessary and for others, it was mere fear of repudiation.

However which ever reason, it happened. There is enough evidence to support my belief that is shared by many others in the community, too many black people were central in aiding the ignorance and fear of whites.

I am still shocked and amazed by the amount of prominent blacks as well as civil rights organizations (no lie) who felt the need to denounce and reject grandpa Wright.

I am not saying all or even most but I am saying too many for my comfort.
