as a black gay man, i wholehearted agree with you. when i express outrage at obama's pick of pastor warren, it is not about racial politics. i just find it disturbing that he would pick such a divisive figure. the president-elect is not above reproach.

it also seems as if some are excusing homophobia. that can't be the case, right?

jon stewert brought up a good point when debating with mike huckabee about gay rights. he said that the real tragedy is that anyone should have to “make a case” in order to qualify for equal rights.

i agree that the No on 8 campaign should have done more outreach, but does that excuse homophobia?

It's Gay POCs I'm thinking about, because the White Gay establishment has literally told y'all to put a sock in it, too...

Excuse me, but y'all? I am not gay or bisexual; I am straight.

If I sound as if I am a "fellow traveler," understand that my life has been a bit more eclectic than some typical black folks.

And I am sure that gays of color would if they could come out to their fellow parishioners...if there wasn't old homophobia in the black, Latino and Asian communities already, starting with some of the denizens of this website whooping and hollering as I said before about so-called sin and repentance.

As I said before, it is not always about race politics with black gays and gays of color. That does not mean that they are waiting for orders from white massas either.
