Willie Brown was the most powerful man in California politics – he was Speaker of the House in the State Assembly for over 20 years. Even ReThug governors knew they couldn't get shyt done in the State House until Willie gave it his blessing. So it was confusing for me when Willie stepped down and ran for Mayor of San Francisco – the West Coast version of Chicago politics in that all crooked roads are taken by way of having a seat on the Board of Supervisors in SF, or having a seat in the State Assembly or State Senate.

Some fish like being big fish in a small pond and that was Willie Brown. I always wondered why he didn't head for DC after he stepped down from the State Assembly. It's because he would have been swallowed whole in DC politics on the national level – he knew that and it explains why he settled for being Mayor; it was where he had power.

I'm wondering if the guvmint has bigger fish to fry than Daley, Jr., but you never know.

I thought I'd seen it all, coming from California, but Chi-town, NYC and NJ make Oakland and San Francisco look like day care when it comes to corruption. Your mayors and aldermen could give Willie Brown and Lionel Wilson lessons on graft and corruption, not to mention getting favors done for those who brought you to the dance.

For anyone wanting an education on politics, the game and corruption, Chicago, NYC and NJ are the places to watch. Blagojevich is facing some hard time and I don't think Fitzgerald is going to be in the mood to deal – the Government already snatched Scooter Libby out of his hands, and he managed to GET A CONVICTION, so I would think he wants somebody to go down for this and its looking like Blago is the chosen one.

Sandi Jackson will have to keep the political fortunes going because Jesse, Jr.'s career might be tainted from this.

And they might as well have a special election for Obama's Senate Seat because any appointments might be tainted as well – regardless of whether or not Blagojevich is impeached and forcibly removed from office.

And Craig, Tammany Hall is legendary. Anyone else know about graft, corruption and political dealings in your neck of the woods?

She just said that God has a plan and nothing was going to stop it. She also said the financial mess will end earlier than everyone thinks, but I don't know aobut that.

But he definitely plays the most wicked game of chess! But most importantly, I think there is a spiritual component at the helm.
