I swear this flap about Warren has me rethinking some of the things that black folks get upset about that pale in comparison to our larger problems and issues. We've all got to learn to stop sweating the small stuff and pick out battles wisely. When it looks like you are always whining and are never able to be happy about anything, you lose the ability to be taken seriously. Appearing to be perpetually agrieved and constantly offended by something doesn't help any cause. I think we should all remember that one of the reasons Obama won is because he didn't play the grievence card whenever he could have. Black folks would've known what he was talking about, but when you're in the minority you have to play the game smarter then that. Gay activists and their supporters (I suppport gay marriage) lost because of bad strategy. Period, the end. And this bitching and moaning about Warren is a continuation of that bad strategy. Even if Obama pulled Warren off the program, how will this advance the cause of GLTB people? How will this prevent another state from banning gay marriage? It will be about as significant to promoting the cause of marriage equality as Warren giving the invocation which is to say not much at all.

In fact when you isonprize asked, the first one I thought was Portuguese if it wasn't Italian – another Romance language: there's 5: Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Romania, and – and ….. hmmmm – French!
