I shudder at the arrogance of believing that your god is the only god.

Like it or not, we live in a global economy where we must compete. We must ask ourselves, “What is our comparative advantage?” Then we must be willing to exploit that advantage.

Detroit lost the advantage a long time ago. To recapture that advantage, they will have to create a product that people can trust. Being unemployed and homeless are now the real, actual byproduct of the US Auto Industry's lack of innovation.

if someone leaves you in the middle of the road year-after-year and you keep coming back to them, then that says more about “you” than them.

How many more second chances? How many more bailouts will the industry need? If GMAC Financial is being converted to a holding bank, then why not convert GE Capital to a holding bank? Why not convert Home Depot's Credit Card division to a holding bank?

This is a slippery slope.

I was listening to Warren Ballentine the other day, and he had a message to black folks who were complaining about PEO not having enough blacks in his cabinet: What are YOU doing in your community? Why aren't you holding your local black politians' feet to the fire like you're doing PEO?

We need to bring those jobs back and have those cars constructed well.

Cars lasted a long time once. It's entirely okay to do it again, especially since we now have global warming. The Europeans have been doing that for years, long after the hard years of reconstruction after WW II.
