I don't recall any articles when Clinton or Bush 2 were preparing for office asking them where the boys at? I don't recall any articles suggesting that Hillary give Bill a son in the White House?
Admiral_Komack
I'm just waiting for the article criticising the Obamas for not using hillbilly heroin.
Michelle is 44. The older a woman gets, the more likely she'll have a daughter. And it seems that she--and Barack--is happy to have had two children and that's it. Their lives are going to become even more full when they arrive at the White House.
This is becoming toooooo motherfreaking Hollywood now. Do some fertility treatments, please. Get a surrogate to handle the nine months. Pop another baby out for the cameras, yall.
I hope Michelle and Barack continue to ignore these fools.

No. The male determines the gender of a child.
The Female carries 2 sex chromosomes & both are xx The Male carries 2 sex chromosomes & they are x & y
When the Y sperm impregnates the egg= Boy When the X sperm impregnates the egg= Girl

Thank you Justice. I can't believe how folks think women have anything to do with determining the sex of the child!!!
Just like they tell you a woman can't teach a man to be a man. A woman doesn't have the genetic material to create a man either!!
All those centuries woman were scapegoated and even beheaded for not having boys and all along it was the yellowbelliedweakneedsapsucker withOUT enough testosterone to have fast swimmers to get to fertilize the eggs.
Cause, the y sperm is the most fragile, so it has to swim fastest to get there.
Thank you Justice. I can't believe how folks think women have anything to do with determining the sex of the child!!!
Oh, please. It was something that I had seen earlier in an article about the efficaciousness of couples having male children. It wasn't a belief.
Just like they tell you a woman can't teach a man to be a man. A woman doesn't have the genetic material to create a man either!!
I have no idea what all that means, but i firmly believe in two parents setting forth what being a man is. I think that some black single moms haven't really done a good job in setting forth what that is, to the grief of other black women.
whiterosebuddy
I doubt that you saw it in an article. I beleve what happened is that you misunderstood what you read. As having male children has nothing to do with women at all. If they can't have a child, yes...but if it is the male gender at issue...that is NOT a female issue. So, perhaps you misunderstood whatever it was that you read.
Blksista, do you beleive as a woman that you know how to teach a man to be a man? If not, then you should have an idea of what that means. If not, ask yourself if you think a man can teach a girlchild how to be a woman. Maybe, that will help bring more clarity.
Single females do the best they can. Some are better than others. But one thing is for sure, no woman can demonstrate to a male child how to stand and urinate. Nor can she teach a malechild about how to conduct themselves at the urinal or in a locker room.
Just like most men can't explain to a female child how to insert a tampon even when they read the box., most still think it goes straight up and do not understand the cavity is angled back to the rear. Women learn that and can teach that to their daughters.
Who are you to suggest what my reality is or is not, or to suggest that I lie in order to make points?
It's not necessarily by telling that a child learns who and what to become, but by example as well. I find that the two-parent ideal is most helpful as well as an extended family. But I for one have had enough of single mother-headed families supposedly being able to handle everything.
whiterosebuddy
I made NO suggestion. I stated that I found it doubtful Who are you to suggest what I doubt? The reason I doubted it is because the science is well over a decade old such that most kids learn it in 9th grade biology class today. I did presume you were much older and did not have that privilege of learning it during high school.
As for you lying, in order to make points, that is your very own twisted reality as my corrections nor doubts, implied, inferred nor suggested you were lying. If you go back and read, you will see I presumed you MISUNDERSTOOD what you read, i.e. poor comprehension
IOW, I am not doubting that you read an article, rather I am doubting what you understood the article to say, is ACTUALLY what it said. Just like right now, you are accusing me of accusing you of lying about having read an article when that is not what I said at all. Again, either you misconstrue or it is poor reading comprehension, on your part.
And as far as your 'by example' goes...a woman can't demonstrate how to urinate with a penis to a boychild nor can a man demonstrate how to insert a tampon to a girlchild.
I agree with all that you say about single female headed households, however sometimes they are not single by choice.
Then I misspoke, but I have read that there is more possibility of daughters if a couple conceives a child in middle age. Middle age is variously thought about as between 40-60 years. The Obamas would fall into that group.
Women's fertility drops significantly at this time. Michelle could be pre-menopausal right now. There is also the risk of Down's syndrome to be considered. It's a more difficult painful choice the older one gets. I have never heard Obama talk about not having a boy; I have only heard that he loves the children he has now.
It's true...a woman can have a baby at any time, even during menopause. Barack could continue to be nominally fertile. But I don't think the Obamas are in the mood to be doing John and Jackie Kennedy any time soon.
whiterosebuddy
A woman's ability to conceive is not what determines the child's gender. It is two entirely separate things.
While the INCIDENCE of having a Down syndrome baby increases with the mothers age, the majority are primarily born to young women under 35 today. It is not the age of the eggs.
Researchers have extensively studied the defects in chromosome 21 that cause Down syndrome. In 88% of cases, the extra copy of chromosome 21 is derived from the mother. In 8% of the cases, the father provided the extra copy of chromosome 21. In the remaining 2% of the cases, Down syndrome is due to mitotic errors, an error in cell division which occurs after fertilization when the sperm and ovum are joined.
Male fertility is not an issue...even 80 year old men can have a child. Men make sperm daily.
Look, I didn't ask for a biology lesson, especially from you two twits. I just don't believe that people should be wishing and hoping for too much from the Obamas that smack of too much Hollywood and not enough substance. Like I said before down list, the Obamas are not empty vessels to fulfill our fantasies. They are not going to always do what we wish they would do, unfortunately.
whiterosebuddy
I am not giving you a biology lesson. I am providing factual data to refute your erroneous speculation on fertility, genetic capability to determine gender of offspring and having Down's syndrome children.
You are stating common misconceptions and therefore those need to be corrected with the true and actual facts.
As far as your twit comment goes, look in the mirror dear, and don't go getting your panties in a bunch just cause you wrote some erroneous stuff and were corrected.
Stop trying to engage in the stereotype that knowing the right information is somehow a deficit. It is not. There should be no pride in ignorance because it is knowledge that is power. And I am not ashamed of learning or knowing. I suggest you pick up that attitude as well. I guarantee it will take you a lot further in life.
There may come a time when you get to return the favor.
I for one am happy to learn when I am laboring under false pretenses, information or misconstrued facts.
I for one am happy to learn when I am laboring under false pretenses, information or misconstrued facts.
Right.
I don't want your favors, sugar.
I don't know who you are, but I don't even want to know you live and in color.
Do yourself a favor and don't answer my comments, and I won't answer yours.
whiterosebuddy
The favor wasn't for you.
You simply happened to be the vessel that spewed erroneous information necessitating that the true facts be posted so no one else would fall prey to your profound ignorance.

Yes, a woman can have a baby during menopause. My mother did. And you're right, there are risks involved, the older a woman gets. But I'd love to see the Obamas have a baby (boy or girl) in the White House. History would be set again, although I know the Kennedy's had a child but it didn't live.
IIRC,during the primaries, Michelle was asked about having another baby but I can't remember exactly what she said about it. I'll have to look it up!

This article was written by Belinda Luscombe, who has a long history of trying to write "satire" but just sounding like an ass.
I remember when Tweety one night was exasperated over people piling on Obama. Like what do you want, people? He's clean. What else do you want him to be?
Now the meme is, straight from this morning's CBS Early Show that its just amazing that Obama's completely unscathed from working among the sharks in Chicago and Springfield.
It's that simple. Just say, no way., and you'll be just as clean, too.
Re his daughters and no sons...again, just like on the old Cosby Show, this is an opportunity for people to observe that black girls and women don't hafta to be hootchies, baby mamas, high school dropouts. I guess that's a disappointment to some people.
whiterosebuddy
Blksista writes; "straight from this morning's CBS Early Show that its just amazing that Obama's completely unscathed from working among the sharks in Chicago and Springfield."
Yeep....just like MOS DEF said;
When white boys doing it it's success...when I'm doing it ..it's suspect
