Obama said he would pick a cabinet of rivals. he did.
He said he would bring people in to change the Washington Climate- he has and apparently he will with these picks.
I don't see what the fuss is about.

We have been so brainwashed into believing that the white man's ice is colder and his water is wetter, no matter how many times we see, over and over, that his intellectual superiority is utter mythology. Obama himself just proved it. Moreso than race, we are going to fall into class designations, which is equally unhealthy but more easily remedied. We have to wait and see.

I agree that CPL is spot on with this post as with a vast majority of her others. Our healthy democracy does depend on us making our voices heard and this is supposed to be a government “FOR THE PEOPLE.” We might need to march on DC or NYC to encourage them to not let Paulson steal any more $ for his Wall Street homies.

We got some wild raspberries, blackberries that grow out back, I'll throw in some wild Maine blueberries, and I'll make a hard sauce with homemade butter.

They don't consult the people actually in the trenches, and come up with ideas for the rest of us that don't fit and don't work.

We all know Valerie Jarrett, a Black woman,will be one of his most trusted adviser in the White House

Patrick Gespard, a Haitian-American who has been a longtime labor operative will be director of the Office of Political Affairs or Political director of the White House

Moises Vela, a Latino, will be director of administration for the office of the Vice President.

Parag Mehta, Indian-American, was named deputy director of inter-governmental affairs and public liasion for the Obama-Biden team and is charged with outreach to Asian-Americans, Pacific Islanders and other groups. Mehta also said he will extend outreach to gay, lesbian, and bi-sexual .

Sonal Shah, Indian-American, is a member of the 15-member of the official transitional board

and nick Rathod is director of the transition's team of inter-governmental affairs

Juliet V. Garcia, a Latina, and Univ. of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College has joined the Obama transition team as one of his advisers.

Ellen Moran, who was executive director of Emily's list, will be Obama's White House Communications Director

There are probably many more I have to look up…but there is a lot of outreach to all groups in this transition and I am almost sure these same people may hold mid- and lower level postions in this administration.
