Fmr. Pres. Bill Clinton has agreed to several concessions in Hillary Clinton’s vetting for Secretary of State.
(CNN) –- A major obstacle in Hillary Clinton’s path to becoming President-elect Barack Obama’s secretary of state may be out of the way, as former President Bill Clinton has made several concessions to help move his wife’s vetting process along.

A source familiar with the discussions between Sen. Clinton and the president-elect confirms to CNN that the former president will release the names of several major donors to the Clinton Foundation as well as submitting future foundation activities and paid speeches to a strict ethics review.

In addition, the former president is offering to step down from his day-to-day responsibilities at the foundation and inform the State Department of his speaking schedule and any new sources of income.

President Clinton’s international and financial dealings with his foundation and presidential library have been a sticking point with an Obama camp worried that Sen. Clinton’s position in the cabinet could create a potential conflict of interest as the country’s top diplomat.

PE Obama has shown that he keeps a steady hand and is very rational. He thought this out. I have to trust that he made the right choice.

Like every other politician, he is focused on gaining and maintaining power. When being a Democrat was convenient, he was a Democrat. When advocating for McCain and actually bad-mouthing Obama was convenient, he was Republican Ally. Now that Obama is the big man with the stick, he's shucking and jiving…oh wait, he's not!!! He has the audacity to demand things be done his way, and make threats. And as a reward, he is able to maintain his position.

The whole “Keep him there to caucus for the Democratic side” has one major flaw: He's unreliable. How do we know that he is going to stay true to the Democrats? He's not going to think he owes Obama anything. Technically, he owed Gore something, for bringing him to the limelight. But he pissed all over that and decided to renegade from the Democratic Party.

This is not about revenge; it's about making sure that policies get implemented to further the cause of this country. I honestly could care less about which party does it (I am an Independent after all), as long as the country moves in the vein of progress, as opposed to the regression (and recession) we are experiencing now.

If I felt that Lieberman made some (huge) mistakes, but now he's repentant, and has shown as least a façade of working with the Democrats, I really wouldn't be worried. But his response to this whole situation is arrogant and bombastic. And anyone who has the nerve to be in the doghouse and waltz back into the house and sleep on the bed with nary a “My bad!” is not someone I see supporting Obama's initiatives.

Obama has been handling things well so far, so I trust he knows what he's doing.

The sound of his whiny voice makes my ears bleed, but I see the wisdom of keeping him around.

I just PRAY that CHANGE will come within everyone that has the opportunity to see this event unfold and stop living in the past and go on into the future with the spirit of LOVE for your fellow man and stop hashing over spilled milk and just mop it up and keep moving. Go Obama and God bless you and your's.
