I guess he thinks: Gee, if I talk about poor people, I can say whatever the hell I want.” WRONG! I don't care how much you talk about big business and the poor . . . you don't get a pass!

Hell no he doesn't get a pass. He thinks Obama acts/talks white, calls him an Uncle Tom, makes castrating/emasculating taunts against Obama. What??? It's supposed to be cute because he's a liberal saying it? Sorry, but I've known my fair share of race-baiting liberals. And giving Nader a pass makes just about as much sense as giving Eminem a pass to say “nigga” just because he “keeps it real.”

Give me a break.

If Nader took his campaign half as seriously as he takes his rhetoric he might have had an impact as a political leader. But he's not a serious leader as far as I'm concerned. If he were serious, he would have had a plan B after the 2000 election. But he didn't.

You tellin' me he wasn't popular enough to run for governor in his home state, CT??? How about the House . . . Senate??? Hell, what about frickin' mayor??? No, in truth he's got an ego as big as any of the “corporate” politicians he likes to criticize whenever he gets the chance. A guy with good ideas, but absolutely ZERO leadership to get things done (a problem often seen with third party candidates).

As for Obama . . .I'll surely hold him accountable. But I'm gonna hold him to the same standard we've held all our other presidents. I'm gonna sit down:

1. look at his numbers in the house and senate
2. figure in the financial crisis
3. and not hamstring my thinking with some bs ideological purity that sounds good in theory, but has little practical application

I backed Obama because I want to get things done. I don't need the ideological wars. I want to get things done.

I'm a liberal and proud of it. But I'm smart enough to know that we don't always have the answers. So while Nader's busy talking to the birds (literally, if you saw his campaign ad), I and millions of others will be doing my best to move the country forward under an Obama administration.

He heard me. Because his posts on the matter afterwards have been much more reasonable.

My issue is that blacks are so complacent in what you said correctly scapegoating. The LGBT community is looking to us now because they believe that we have won some sort of rights. Have they stretched their hands out to the black community (a socially conservative community) and did what I have been telling them to do for the past 4 YEARS? You outtlined what I have been telling to do on a large scale. Black people are told that homosexuality is a sin in their churches and community. I would have voted down the Proposition but some other still have those beliefs that are based in their religious belief. Do some peopl not understand that. I have had my struggles with trying to bridge this and I was also upset about some LGBT organizations being apathetic about the crimes that effect black gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals

They get a kick out of it because it similar to the whole “reverse racism” thing. I am not apart of it because it was voted down in other states. The people who really brought it down at the end of the day were whites because blacks probably could not have shifted it that much. Everyone should get the blame not just blacks.
