Another Silly Mistake By Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin is fond of saying the media get their facts wrong. She often accuses the media of being biased against her. "Why didn't they just check with me first?" is a familiar refrain.

Well, now we have the answer - because if they check with you, you're going to give them answers that don't match the facts. The video belowis a small example, but it is indicative of how little preparation she goes through and how little regard she has for checking the facts. As you can see in the video, she throws around a "fact" in her last interview that isn't even close to true:

Now this is a good sign: The Obama transition team has just signed up two leading Web types for the transition's Internet outreach team, a welcome indication that the Obama team is moving to transfer its astonishing online successes during the campaign over to the world of governing.

A transition source tells us that that Macon Phillips, a key Obama campaign Web official, has been tapped to head new media for the transition, and Jesse Lee, a leading Web operative who handled Rahm Emanuel's DCCC internet outreach operation during the 2006 take-back of Congress, has been hired to do online communications. Obama's transition team confirms the hires.

Sycamore Valley Ranch Co. is a joint venture between Jackson and an affiliate of Colony Capital LLC, according to a person with knowledge of the transaction who was not authorized to speak on the record and requested anonymity.

The person could not say what would become of the 2,500-acre property in the bucolic, oak-studded hills of Santa Barbara County's wine country, 120 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

People I lived through the Jim Jones debacle in 1978 - I was in high school and attended that funeral of the 600 or so bodies buried in a mass grave at Evergreen Cemetary in Oakland, California. Many of my school friends had relatives who went to Guyana and came back in a coffin.

Why the Coon Network News would bring this up - it is the 30 year anniversary of that mess, and because the Coon Network News is trying to take Fox Noise title for PROPAGANDIST NETWORK that will make it their business to harass the Obama Administration for the next four years.

However, as long as Michelle is around, I will not fear that Barack will encounter a "Monica Lewinsky" in his Administration for the simple reason Michelle will kick his ass, and secondly, I think Obama is waaay more disciplined than Wild Bill Clinton.

You can get a styrofoam sphere and put it on a styrofoam ring (as a pedestal). Paint it like the globe, then stick the buttons in.

You can buy a big shadow box (or medium), cover the back with fabric and pin them on. If you are feeling really handy, make the fabric a solid color with an african fabric border (mud cloth, Kente, Kenyan cloth) cloth that matches the room you want to display them in. This option will protect them better cause you know they are going to be worth a lot of $ one day.

You could get a cloth lampshade and pin them to it.

If you have hundreds of them, you can pint them to a solid color ribbon and staple it on toyr wall as a border,or as a border around a door frame.

You can pin them to a pillow (or pillows) for the sofa. The pillow can be cylindrical or cut out (like a round or square doughnut) if you want to make it funky or unique.

If I had a bunch of smallish ones, I would solder them to a bead chain and make myself a necklace, earrings and bracelet. I bet I could sell them!

You can buy a clock kit and use them as the numbers for the clock.

It would be easier for me to channel my inner Martha Stewart if I had an idea of your personal taste.

How about attaching the buttons to favorite shirt that you no longer wear, and hanging the shirt on a wall? If you use a hanger, you can hang it off of a pushpin. If you have kids you could use one of their outgrown garments.

Or, if you have kept any old dolls (yes, I have) you can attach the buttons to the doll's clothing and sit her up on a shelf or on a chair.

Today the state will count 42,991 of the absentee ballots and 9,333 of the early votes. The rest will come later, hopefully by Friday. But no promises.

And, of course, we’ll be looking to see if the House race, or local races take any significant changes. Two wonderful local Democrats, Pete Petersen and Chris Tuck are both ahead but by a very slim margin.

It’s 2:00 in Alaska, and still no numbers coming in. We weren’t sure if the numbers would come in one lump sum at the end of the day, or if they would release results throughout the day. I’m guessing if we haven’t seen anything by now, we’ll get the final daily tally this evening.

UPDATE: Ted Stevens lead has now shrunk from 3300 to 971! Tuck and Petersen are holding their own. More to come.

The elections division still has over 10,000 ballots left to count today and thousands more through next week, but the latest numbers show Mark Begich leading Sen. Ted Stevens 125,019 to 125,016.

The new numbers, reflecting nearly 43,000 absentee ballots counted today, are from all over the state. Election night, Ted Stevens led the Democratic Begich by about 3,000 votes.

AmericaBlog has Begich leading Stevens by almost 900 votes, and they're still counting.

Additionally, the Sno Ho would have to run for Stevens' seat - thanks to Frank Murkowski using his Gubernatorial powers to appoint his own daughter to his Senate Seat six years ago; immediately, Alaskans passed a constitutional amendment requiring a special election be held to fill Senate or Congressional terms, so another Governor can't pull the same shyt Murkowski did.

Why are they taking so long to get the goods on her to recall her ass? If California could recall Gray Davis merely for doing his job, surely the state of Alaska can recall Palin for incompetence, graft, high crimes and misdemeanors, and abuse of authority, can't they?

Must be too addicted to all that "pork" Stevens brings home by the barrelful.

Miranda you are right about that. They were talking about this a few weeks ago on the radio stations and the folks who called in were split on the subject. I felt the same as you. NO take a stand and put the kids first. They are minors and should be protected. Their mother can live whatever life she wants but should not subject the children to that.
