I would absolutely DIE of happiness if the Fisk Jubilee, Spelman-Morehouse Glee Club, or Harlem Boys Choir honors the next President at his Inauguration. The idea of either of these groups singing our most patriotic songs is just TOO much.

Just imagine “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” sung by one of these choirs inside the East Room of the White House.

President Obama sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office addressing the nation with pictures or Michelle, Melia and Sasha on the desk behind him. That one is going to tug at the heartstrings.

The guests were joking on Lou Dobbs tonight that on Monday when President Bush and President O meet on Monday in the Oval Office Barack is gonna say to him, “Get out of my chair”.

Grandma is moving into the white house, so she will be the 1st grandma. I LOVE IT!! She is the cherry on the cake that is their incredibly beautiful family. O loves her sweet potato pie, so I'm sure she'll be making it for the holidays. Aside from that, they will be eating courtesy of the white house chef. Michelle is fixin to have servants! I know it will take time for her to get use to, but it will free her up to adopt a cause. I would love to see the 1st Lady & 1st Grandma work together on a cause which makes improvements for women & children.

I remember when I was little my grandparents had pictures of both MLK and JFK in their living room. It went straight over my head back then, but I understand now. It was all about the pride they felt in these two men who had their backs. I completely understand now.

So true about the fourth of July next year. Its going to finally feel like it belongs to us too.
Obama pardoning that Thanksgiving turkey. BTW, will the staff have to learn how to fix chitlins? Sweet Potato Pie? Greens? Maybe Grandma will have to go in there and teach the chef.

I already realize that when he speaks those words that will be the moment that will hit me hardest. It brought tears to my eyes Tues. But when he is sworn in…there will be a river flowing. He will no longer be President-Elect but PRESIDENT Barack Obama.
