Connecticut voters oughta get a big fat clue. Lieberman needs to be kicked out of the Senate, period. I'm quite sure Ned Lamont is looking, nay salivating for a rematch. Obama wouldn't lift a finger for Lieberman this time out...

That 17% ain't nothing to sneeze at. If Sheehan doubles it by 2010, she will really get Pelosi's attention.

The fact that Pelosi got less than the 80-90% she usually gets is a pretty significant development, even in a four-way race. It signals to Pelosi that there's almost 20% of her district that's not happy with her ass.

If Sheehan hires a good campaign manager and starts fundraising in 2009, she'll have a good warchest to take on Pelosi in 2010, and even if she loses, if she doubles her percentage of the vote, it should be enough to give Pelosi a good scare.

Finally, Obama will staff his Cabinet members with supporters who are COMPETENT.

That's an element that's been missing for the last eight years. Many of Bush's cabinet got their jobs because they ponied up major cheddar to help him steal two elections.

The first thing that needs to be done is to remove Saxsby ChamblissR-GA in the run off.
Burn Lieberman and the Clintons on the floor of the Congress now. He will walk across the aisle anyway. She can rot in Hell.
As to Reid w/ all the new Sens I suggest Durbin from Ill. Maybe to much Ill but again someone Obama can trust. Democrats are short on institutional memory w/ Biden leaving and Edwards gone.

I think it's another one of those “sternly-worded” discussions that Reid will have with Lieberman, and just like everyone else, Lieberman will ignore the discussion and continue to Eff with the party to get his own way.

I'll believe it when I see Harry Reid do more than meeting and talking.

How much of the vote did Cindy get? Even though she lost, if she forced Pelosi to get off her ass and actually wear out shoe leather to campaign, it may signal to Pelosi she'd better listen to y'all in San Francisco, or she's toast in 2010.

If President Elect Obama runs his administration as well as he did his campaign I don't see a leadership problem. He had a strong message of bipartanship and if he missteps on that message the country will most likely let him know he's failing in the 2010 elections.
