I almost wonder if these horrible incidents will turn many people against these political forces. I am sure there are moderates out there who wouldn't want to be associated with that bigotry, even if the might agree with those segments of society on other issues.

Update: I'm sorry, I forgot to mention in my comment below about race riots following the American Revolutionary war. These riots all took place in New York. Further I said Blaack people were hung from trees. The reason why I said “hung” is because the term lynching did not exists in 1785. Back then people were simply hung without ceremony.

Let me Hip you to some basic American History, the kind you won't find in in America's school rooms. Black people have had to suffer violent reactions from Whites any time there is a significant change in the country that involves relations between the races. After the revolutionary war, there was great civil strife between Blacks and Whites. Many Blacks were caught and hung frrom trees along the main roads. Many Whites were killed during retalitory raids on the White areas. Both Black and White churches were burned to the ground. The White Militia who were organized to preserve law and order, never-the-less always supported the White mobs attacking the Black community. Most of the rioting Whites were European mercenaries in the British Redcoat army, who decided to stay here after the war and were generally unemployed, competing for the jobs that free Blacks had during the war. The so-called riots broke out in 1785 after the bith of this nation and White folks have been beating up on us ever since, so if this recession becomes a depression I recommend that you do what ever it takes to protect yourself. Don't take anything for granted…..

Justice, if I had my way, there would be no Clintionistas in the Obama Admnistration; however, I do get the idea that President Barack wants to keep his friends close and his enemies closer.

Which is why I can't get with Barack's consideration to give Hillary Secretary of State, given her behavior. If he must be conciliatory, give this heifer Secretary of Education or some harmless Cabinet position like that; stop dickering around and give the State position to Bill Richardson – who had his back before they could even drag the Clintons onto the bandwagon.

I was reluctant to read through this post, since the news is so deeply disturbing. I realize that we can expect a running tally of the death threats and all around racist ignorance that is sure to come. One person whom needs to be held accountable for this situation is not Sen McCain nor Gov Palin. It is Hilliary Rodham Clinton. She was the one whom openly appealed to race and class in her attempt to become the candidate for President from the Democratic Party. She was the one whom scratched and clawed at the raw scars of racism within the Democratic Party. And now Sen Obama is considering her for his cabinet.
I can fathom no reason for this given HRC's behavior. If Obama chooses HR I walk.

Unfortunately, these articles draw no conclusion about the extent to which this racism is the residual effect of the rage that Palin and McCain dredged up. Nor do they even hint at what they did. Another case of the MSM zeroing out the score after the deed is done. Makes it look as if ALL of this rage was inevitable and NONE of it was manipulated.
