This was a beautiful letter from Anj. I'm so glad you shared it. I relate so much to what Anj said, I've been eavesdropping too, just trying to understand more than the limited view I was born into. Her eloquence is much greater than mine; I just wanted to say thank you also.

This is a beautiful letter thank you for posting it.
I am on a lunch break but would appreciate some help with this, I want to order a photo of the OBAMA family-preferable from the campaign.

It is going to be my Christmas present to family and friends.

Any suggestions on where I can order a good quality photo in large numbers? I thank you for your help- gotta head back to work. Will check responses later.

This is so neat. Anj's comments about the phone calling reminded me of one of my conversations. I was volunteering in Huntsville, AL the week before their primary and I reached a man who said he was afraid of an Obama win because he feared an assassination. I was so taken aback at his comment and I really stumbled at what to say in response. I ended up commenting that Barack Obama knew the risks and was willing to do this anyway and if Sen. Obama could make that decision then we could not be afraid to support him.

I have met so many nice people during this election and if it were not for Sen. Obama I doubt I would have found this web site. Because I know so many people who have few or no acquaintances of color I encourage them to read ethnic blogs. You might be surprised that most I have suggested this to hadn't ever considered doing so.
