When one of the most unpopular politicians slithers out from whatever rock he’s normally hidden under to endorse your opponent, well, you’ve got to make the most of it. Dick Cheney must really hate John McCain. Even Bush has been making himself scarce on the campaign trail. This is not likely to help much with the GOP base and certainly not with moderates who must be wincing in pain. It’s truly like the kiss of death for McCain-Palin. McCain’s certainly earned that endorsement. Reform? Maybe not so much.
