Who said that since I am a Republican that I supported the bailout. What has happened in the financial market is a direct result of corporate greed, which has occurred under both Democratic and Republican administration. I, contrary to what you may think or believe on the television believe in fiscal responsibilty and that the market should dictate the outcome of the financial markets.

Now, since you think that stem cell research is morally-correct, please go ahead and believe that. I personally don't believe in such activity because you are taking away a life, point blank period.

Concerning the environment I think we share common ground on this issue that environmental measures need to be taken. But, one thing I find it surprising that you didn't bring up, your party history with the African-American community and there so-called gov't sponsored programs that supposedly are to benefit and list up or communities. Instead they have done nothing but created a loyal, dependent class of people committed to the Democratic Party.

But I do have faith in President-Elect Obama, because time and time again he has mentioned Republicans throughout the campaign season, to include an endorsement from the granddaughter of a Republican U.S. President ??? guess who that was (President Eisenhower.

Now here is a little food for thought for you.

Eisenhower supported the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka U.S. Supreme Court decision, in which segregated ("separate but equal") schools were ruled to be unconstitutional. The very next day he told District of Columbia officials to make Washington a model for the rest of the country in integrating black and white public school children. He proposed to Congress the Civil Rights Acts of 1957 and 1960 and signed those acts into law. Although both Acts were weaker than subsequent civil rights legislation, they constituted the first significant civil rights acts since the 1870s. The "Little Rock Nine" incident of 1957 involved the refusal by Arkansas to honor a Federal court order to integrate the schools. Under Executive Order 10730, Eisenhower placed the Arkansas National Guard under Federal control and sent Army troops to escort nine black students into an all-white public school. The integration did not occur without violence. Eisenhower and Arkansas governor Orval Faubus engaged in tense arguments.

I agree with you. Where do you want to start because the Republican Party that you see on T.V. doesn't represent every person who is a Republican. Since you are so loyal to Democratic Party. Well for that matter since a majority of African-Americans are loyal to the Democratic Party well please explain to me how are communities, schools, continue to suffer time and time again from Democratic leadership who promote government-sponsored programs. President-Elect Obama is correct in support faith-based programs.

Let me remind you also that President Bush supports this program as well.

Now if we can establish a meaningful dialogue on common ground issue. Please lets begin. Otherwise, don't become arrogant and uppity like the Republicans did in the 1990's because one thing is for certain in politics.

Absolute power = Absolute corruption

So, djcefron I'll be awaiting your response.

Well let the conversation begin. If your were eyes were closed you might think you were talking to Rush Limbaugh-- maybe a Tony Perkins on the softer end. The far right was certainly emboldened by the presidency of GWB. They later co-opted this moral-majority family values rhetoric and the evangelical church seized a strangle-hold. That strangle-hold is quickly becoming a death grip. There is no singular party or faction within party that can claim the upper-hand on values. If Republican merely equals Christain family values. Are all democrats and independants anti-Christain and anti-family? I should think not.

What the republicans don't realize is that the moral-majority wing will continue erode foundations of that party. The evagelical far right are a relentless lot that will only be satisfied by America being Christianized according to their gospel. The American people and the pluralistic world for that matter will no longer accept a world constrained to anglo-saxon protestant domination.

I'm glad somebody had the courage to say it. The American people and the pluralistic world for that matter will no longer accept a world constrained to anglo-saxon protestant domination.

By: djchefron

You and your party dont matter anymore. When you stop taking pride in ignorance then we can have a conversation.

You and your party dont matter anymore. When you stop taking pride in ignorance then we can have a conversation.

By: Republican2008

Can anyone guess which present member of Congress was also a member of the KKK?

Can anyone guess which present member of Congress was also a member of the KKK?

By: Republican2008

So I guess everyone wants to hate the Republican Party when the Democratic Party is just as racist if not more than the Repulican. Come on now people, although I will give merit to some of the comments and posts, but lets be real about it if we want true change. Both parties have areas of concern they need to address. Now without going into further detail at this present moment. I'll start this off with this.

Can anyone guess who is still a sitting member in Congress?

Also, I wonder why Al Gore didn't accept President-Elect Obama post?

Just a little food for thought?

So I guess everyone wants to hate the Republican Party when the Democratic Party is just as racist if not more than the Repulican. The Old School North Eastern Republicans were a'ight with them when party began amassing power in the late 60's/early 70's. Even when the Values Voter/Christian Right/KKK started to infect the GOP, the Old Schoolers were silent. Old Schoolers believed that they were a** backwards and ignant but turned a blind eye as long as the goods were delivered.

Now they GOP are stuck with the John Hagees James Dobsons of the country and crying foul because they have been politically totally decimated. Where are all the former Dixiecrats and their progeny are going to go after the GOP alienates them? They may not be are not powerful enough to form a legitimate third but they one of the most powerful and organized voting constitute. What other groups are GOP planning to court to become a formidable party again. They can not be Republican Lite, we already have that with the Democratic Leadership Council.

From where I stand it, will take at least a generation for the GOP to reshape American Politics. Just as Party of LIncoln was not the same as the Party of Roosevelt which was not the same as the Party of Goldwater. I think believe the height of the Goldwater party came during the Reagan years. The Bush presidency was it's logical conclusion.

IMHO The Jim-Crow-Dixiecrat-bible-thumping-hang-a ni**gah-in-a-minute electoral body had to go somewhere.
