Im back,although Obama ran a very clean campaign lets not deify him.The media played the race card for him and people in his campaign twisted a lot of arms but business is business.Also Blacks had a lot of other reasons for not initially backing Obama besides ass kissing or uncle tomism etc.It would be good to rwespect other peoples oppinions without resorting to name calling etc.If this us against them mentality continues then Obamas whole message is lost,

I'm sure black people solely voted for Obama based on his policy positions (Yeah, right). If white people voted that strongly for McCain, I am sure that “movement” would be called something else. I am sure white people who propped up the black vote did so, not to be “part of history” and to exorcise the inheritance of a post-colonial guilt complex. You cannot honestly believe that if it were a white man with Obama's complete lack of accomplishment (and was a member of a racist church and had the associations he had), he would have made it through the primaries. To be FAIR, a three-legged dog could have defeated the Republicans this year. You only had to look at the news anchors and pundits blubbering in their tears to know that America became a far sadder place. A place where AN INDIVIDUAL (not a black man) cannot be judged based on his merits for the position, but only chosen for his genetic ancestry. You people do not see him as a man, who began backpedalling (aka “lying”) in his victory speech about how he'll need two terms to accomplish what he promised during his campaign would be done with the first 100 days of his presidency. But you'll give him a pass. John McCain was a poor candidate as well, but at least he sacrificed himself for his country and knew the true meaning of “honor”, something Obama could never hope to understand. Again, you all voted against Bush as a symbol, and rightfully so. But most people did not register a protest vote against McCain the individual as much as they registered a vote symbolically against the Republican party and Bush. People could not see McCain for the INDIVIDUAL he was, and his record of working across party lines. They were too caught up in the symbolism of Obama. Obama himself even said “t I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripe project their own views”. Become a symbol and you become EVERYTHING to Americans. Well when it comes to the next four years- prepare to be at best, disappointed, and at worst, have your lives fall further into ruin.

Miranda Priestly was much nicer than Sarah Palin. She did cut Anne Hathaway's character some slack and gave her a good job reference.

Would Sister Sarah have done that for someone else, just because it was the right thing to do. Her whole history has been to use people and toss them away when they're no longer useful to her goals and ambitions.

John McCain got in the way of her ambitions and last night, she was shown that all of America didn't like her ass.

I'm thinking more along the lines of “the Devil wears Prada.”

I wouldn't be surprised if the extensive spending in Neiman Marcus was for Burberry and Christian Dior layettes, diaper bags, etc.
or if she found a way to put the Alaskan taxpayers on the hook for some if it, too.

I thought Todd looked like he wanted to throw up on that stage. The body language was stiff and awkward. There was no warmth between either of the couples. You'd think they would touch and hold hands…it was weird.

And yes, Biden didn't give a speech last night at Grant Park…and he WAS elected. I just saw a clip on CNN where Dana Bash asks Palin why does she think independents and women were repelled from her ticket. Palin responded (paraphrasing) that no one would ascribe “John McCain's loss” to her presence on the ticket. !!!! Can you believe she said “John McCain's loss”???!!

This woman is a liar, and McCain is a wimp for not taking control of the situation and shutting her down. By allowing his campaign staff to choose her, he's created a monster.

I've never known a VP nominee give a concession speech so I don't know why Sista Sarah thought she should speak.

I didn't hear John Edwards give a speech.

Or Joe Lieberman.

Or Jack Kemp.

Or Dan Quayle.

Or Lloyd Bentsen.

Or Geraldine Ferraro.

I don't remember none of these folks giving a speech after the Presidential candidate has his say. Sista Sarah is on crack.
