On a lighter but related note, the closest the GOP has to an Obama-esque candidate is Boddy Jindal of Louisiana. Problem is, conservatives don't realize that. A recent Gallup poll on conservatives' Favorable/Unfavorable/Don't Know on the big names in the movement had Sarah Palin on top and Jindal near the bottom with a high unfavorable rating.

First and foremost you might want to look at the principles of the Republican Party and although McCain may have made calculated mistakes in not reaching out to African-American community, is the a justifiable reason not to look at the issues and principles he stands for. Where in the Bible does it mention that gay marriage is ok. Where does it mention in the bible that abortion is ok. Why should the government have to give handouts to people who to lazy to get a job and want to live off the government. Where is the personal responsibility at. Has it fallen by the way side. Also, you might wanna get your facts straight because it was the Republican Party that lead the charge to pass the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Just like President Eisenhower, desegerated DC Public Schools, Little Rock, AR, Brown v.s. Board of Education Topeka, KS. Furthermore, he proposed to Congress the Civil Rights Acts of 1957 and 1960 and signed those acts into law.

Now instead of being spoon feed by the liberal media do your homework and research Executive Order 10730, you will be reminded of the true facts of the matter.

Laws, be they criminal-based or economic-based are orginate in the U.S. Congress, not at the President's desk. Furthermore, I'm further surprised that you would list all these incidents since the Democrat's were in charge of the U.S. House from 1954 to 1995, which makes them just as responsible for some of the very same incidents you have listed. Now, Mr. Nate Wesley, I'm going to keep this short and brief for you where is the substance of the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977, since this has been passed a long time ago (when I was born as a matter fact) where are the improvements in inner city DC, Baltimore, Philly, Pittsburgh, Jersey City, NYC, Bridgeport, CT, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, LA, Miami, Atlanta, come on now, How can you even type something like that and attempt to justify it when all you have to do is look at our inner-city communities.
