i saw the top of Drudge, which says HRC's accepted the job offer for Sec State. who knows if it's true?
if it is, i will be WILDLY disappointed. change we can believe in? for real? forget about their elephantine suitcase of trashy scandals over the decades: in this campaign the clintons engaged in the vilest and most sinister race-baiting of this generation. Obama responded with a message of CHANGE and HOPE----and won the primary, and then the election (to my great ecstatic awe).
i've given money, sweat, and tears to get Obama elected, but if he selects her for Sec State, i will feel pretty effing nauseated by this farce. cronyism, back-scratching, cynicism...
i'm crossing my fingers and toes here, people.

The Drudge Report? The Drudge Report that falsely reported on the so-called Obama supporter that carved the B in a young McCain supporter's face Drudge Report? I wouldn't hold my breath on the truth of anything coming from that site.
When i hear it from PE Obama, I'll react. Until then, it's all mere speculation.
The Guardian does NOT say Hillary has accepted the post.
Hillary Clinton plans to accept the job of secretary of state offered by Barack Obama, who is reaching out to former rivals to build a broad coalition administration, the Guardian has learned.
We don't konw if Barack has actually OFFERED her the job for certain. And PLANNING to accept and actually ACCEPTING are two different things.
I'm planning to go to Milwaukee for Thanksgiving, but that doesn't mean I'm going.
Until Barack makes an official announcement, it's all politics and spin and speculation.

The Obama school search is heating up: Malia, Sasha and their mom, Michelle, spent two hours Monday morning touring Georgetown Day School, and are expected to visit the Sidwell Friends campus Tuesday.
The family look-sees follow Michelle Obama's trips to the schools last week, which sparked intense debate about D.C.'s public and private education. Looks more and more like the first daughters will attend a private school; no word if the family will drop by Maret -- reportedly still in the running -- later in the week.

Donna Brazile, a well-known Democratic pundit who led Al Gore’s White House bid, is coming to Georgia to help Jim Martin.
Brazile will be advising Martin’s runoff campaign against Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss.
Brazile said in an e-mail to Democrats that she “cleared her calendar” after learning Martin had forced a runoff with Chambliss. Brazile has some experience with runoffs. She helped Sen. Mary Landrieu win a 2002 runoff in her native Louisiana.
Brazile is perhaps best known for her political pundit duties on CNN. She was Al Gore’s campaign manager in his unsuccessful presidential race against George W. Bush, becoming the first African-American to lead a major presidential campaign.

Let's hope he listens to good advice because Al Gore did not! If you watch that stupid Recount movie on HBO you'd think she just popped in and out for a few minutes every day and did nothing.

The Guardian is reporting that HRC has accepted the SoS position... Wow. If this is true, I'm surprised if only because of the vetting process via President-elect Obama's 7-page questionnaire.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/13/us/politics/1... ...There are no time limits for some information, including liens, tax audits, lawsuits, legal charges, bankruptcies or arrests. Applicants must report all businesses with which they and their spouses have been affiliated or in which they have had a financial stake of more than 5 percent. All gifts over $50 that they and their spouses have received from anyone other than close friends or relatives must be identified.
Just in case the previous 62 questions do not ferret out any potential controversy, the 63rd is all-encompassing: “Please provide any other information, including information about other members of your family, that could suggest a conflict of interest or be a possible source of embarrassment to you, your family, or the president-elect.”
The answer could duplicate the response to Question 8: “Briefly describe the most controversial matters you have been involved with during the course of your career.”
Second, the article says Hillary "plans to accept" the position.
I'll wait to see what Barack has to say about it.

Third, is it really possible that The Guardian has scooped *everyone*?

Ted Kennedy returned to the Senate today, nearly six months to the day after the seizure that led to the diagnosis of his malignant brain tumor. He was accompanied by his wife and dogs, and was greeted by over 100 staffers. Kennedy spoke about working with President-elect Barack Obama on a variety of issues, including healthcare.
WATCH THE VIDEO: It was emotional, IMHO. :>)

rikyrah: ***After the "Air Conditioner"***, Ding! Ding! Ding! ANOTHER WINNER!
GQ has named Barack Obama one if its "Men of the Year" with a cover and article — penned by Senator Ted Kennedy — that went to press before Election Day.
Obama is joined by Michael Phelps, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jon Hamm, each of whom grace one of GQ's four "Men of the Year" covers.
GQ named Obama "Game Changer of the Year," and an excerpt of Kennedy's piece appears below:
As I write this, Barack Obama and John McCain have just completed their final debate, and the country is a few short days away from a historic election. Of course, I'm doing all that I can for my candidate. But whether he wins or loses, Barack Obama has ushered in a new era of American politics with a limitless vision of a better future that will endure for many years to come. Through his candidacy, Obama has provided a glimpse of a stronger, better, fairer America, where change comes from the bottom up, where we all come together to meet the great challenges of our time. He has inspired millions of new voters of all ages, races, and incomes to lend their voices for real change. For in this man, Americans can see not just the audacity but the possibility of hope for the country that is yet to be....

Win or lose, with the Obama candidacy the torch has been passed, and I hope I made a difference.
Read Kennedy's full article about Obama here. The "Men of the Year" issue goes on sale nationally November 25, and will be online at gq.com tomorrow morning.
The cover shot, which appears below, was taken by Mark Seliger in Philadelphia on October 3. The photographer was only given 1 minute, 45 seconds for the entire shoot:

rikyrah: GREAT NEWS and GREAT EVENT for the President-Elect!:
President-elect Barack Obama gave a little media analysis during his meeting with John McCain Monday in Chicago, Abdon Pallasch reports in the Sun-Times.
As media filed into the room for what was supposed to be a no-questions photo-op of Obama, McCain, Obama's incoming chief of staff, Rep. Rahm Emanuel, and McCain ally, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Obama said, "The national press is tame compared to the local press."
As if proving his point, ABC 7's Andy Shaw continued to ask questions even as the press was being herded out of the room.
Watch the photo shoot below:
Just do YOU! :>) :>)

If it's true, that's pretty funny. I love the righteous indigantion and woe is me attitude. Some can dish it, but can't take it.
I wanted to say, I think you have me mistaken for someone else, but I knew he knew who I was and he just hated me for who I was. You conservatives that have destroyed this country! And the hatred was so deep, it was breath taking. Luckily the swat team was there and I just separated myself from him and he just shouted through other people and there were children in the restaurant and he blamed me for everything, I believe including the Holocaust, and the hatred was palpable. The guy screamed at the restaurant, you better not let me see you in the parking lot because I've got a truck and I'll run your ass over! Wow. Is this who we've become? Is this who we've become?
Now, Beck is such a drama queen, who knows if this story is accurate, or even true. But, I sincerely hope it is!
Nate_Wesley
Beck might want to be a bit more careful, lest anyone choose to push him down the stairs this time.
In Elmer Fudd voice: Be vewe vewe quiet. It's racist huntin' season! They wish. Wouldn't it be great to round up Beck (who's kind of a wanna be anyway), Limpballs, Klannity and O'Liely and get rid of them with one fell swoop!
is he trying to deflect attention from the real life on pundits who are being attacked and/or killed by racist white people?
MsKitty
The SWAT team was called in? Sure it was, Glenn...sure it was.
I wouldn't put it past Beck to have hired someone to attack him in Wendy's and make up his own drama to get negative press, because he's one of them fools that any press is better than no press at all.
Justice58
Is this who we've become? Is this who we've become?
Maybe Glenn Beck should learn to keep his mofo mouth shut and stop all the f-ing lying! He's a S.O.B.
Miranda
Doesn't he know that hate speech is a boomerang?
