TRANSLATION: Look, Obama was LYING about being a Christian! He doesn't go to church! Nevermind we chased the man out of his church home of 20 years and will call him a racist if he chooses a majority black congregation ever again (even though 43 white presidents went to majority white churches and nobody batted an eye). If he's not going to church then maybe he really IS a Muzlim!!! Oh noez!!!
This is straight foolery. They have nothing else to report so they are going to report that the man hasn't been to church since he won (obviously insinuating ????).
Well of course he hasn't been to church, assholes. You chased the man out of his church, got all up into the business of the pastor, forced his retirement then started investigating the new pastor even after Obama left the church. And if Obama goes to Third Street A.M.E. Church they will be all up in that church's business, reviewing all the videotapes, harassing the sick and shut-ins for dirt and gossip and if they can't find any they'll chatter away about WHY does President Obama and his family HAVE to go to a predominately black church (even though when THEY go to church it's predominately white except for the three black members in the choir).

You are always on point, Town. I hear you. I knew exactly what you meant, and it was foolishness, the entire story.
Appearing on ABC's This Week, senior Obama adviser David Axelrod was asked whether a potential Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would have the "full backing of the president" and "a direct line to the White House."
"I think it's fair to say that all of these appointees will have the full backing of the president, that's why he's selecting them," Axelrod said. "And the one thing I can tell you from working for six years with Barack Obama -- that he is someone who invites strong opinions. He enjoys that -- he thinks it's an important element of leadership. And I think that he'll have a great working relationship with his entire Cabinet. They are not going to be potted plants. ... They are going to be partners with him in governance, and he is going to encourage that. And I'm sure that that's the message that he's given to everyone he's spoken to about potential positions in the administration."
Axelrod also sought to downplay concerns among progressives that some of Obama's cabinet choices signaled a departure from the agenda he backed during the campaign.
"The president-elect was clear throughout the campaign that when he became president, that he was going to give the secretary of Defense a new mission, and that mission was going to be to wind down our involvement," he said. "Nothing has changed. And, obviously, events are moving in that direction as we speak. But our supporters can be, and the entire nation, and the world can be assured that the commitments that he's made are the commitments he's going to keep."
Watch a clip from This Week below, and read more about Obama's Cabinet here. SKIP "He's not looking for people to give him a vision," said Mr. Axelrod, who will be a senior White House adviser. "He's going to put together an administration of people who can effectuate his vision." [...] {WORD! :>)}
Barack Obama is leaning towards appointing former deputy national security adviser Jim Steinberg as his Deputy Secretary of State, a well-connected Democratic source tells the Huffington Post.
The potential appointment of Steinberg -- an Obama adviser during the campaign, respected voice on international affairs, and Clinton-era national security official -- is significant for a variety of reasons, none more so than what it could mean for the department as a whole.
With Sen. Hillary Clinton reportedly set to accept the job of Secretary of State, questions have surrounded which other figures would fill out the staff. Steinberg is not a Clinton loyalist -- like, say, Richard Holbrooke -- having counseled Obama during the primary. He is well regarded throughout the party, known, as his former Brookings Institute colleague Michael O'Hanlon put it, as "an incredible networker, but someone who masters the substance as well." According to the New York Times, Clinton had been "reassured" by Obama that she "could select her own staff" as Secretary of State.
[IMHO, President-Elect Obama NEEDS someone around ta keep an EYE on the SOS! :>)]
Asked about the president-elect's decision to not attend church, a transition aide noted that the Obamas valued their faith experience in Chicago but were concerned about the impact their large retinue may have on other parishioners.
"Because they have a great deal of respect for places of worship, they do not want to draw unwelcome or inappropriate attention to a church not used to the attention their attendance would draw," said the aide.

I'm taking my mid-tour leave from Afghanistan to overlap the Inauguration. Now I"m just hustling for tickets to the Commander in Chief Ball or the Inauguration itself. It shouldn't be so hard for a service member on leave to get some love you would think when the purpose of the Commander in Chief Ball is for members deploying to or returning from Afghanistan *Siobhan pouts*
