Oh my God.
You all are going to make me cry.

I learned this poem many years ago (Langston Hughes is my favorite - PERIOD) and to read it today of all days makes me remember what it means.

I can't help but think of my grandmother who didn't live to see this day but is watching her grandchildren carry on the legacy from up above. I took a piece of her with my to the polls and I carry her spirit with me where ever I go.

That was prophetic right there! Langston laid it down! On a side note: I wonder if this moment was what Martin saw on the mountain top or if he witnessed events beyond this moment, in which our children “fly”!
