This time around, the issue was getting them counted.

The law in VA says the Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot has to have a witness signature and address when used as an application AND a ballot. Some registrars took that to mean all the ballots had to have signature/address, which is different from the laws for other absentee ballots. And Federal law says they have to all be processed the same way.

I worked the issue on behalf of VFF….took about a week to resolve, but now we have to get the laws changed. Probably the ONE thing we managed to do this year that was truly non-partisan.

If i'm not mistaken D., I heard it was Republican officials who were trying to challenge the ballot being counted.

I have a suspicion mine wasn't counted from 2004 because my former locality, which was a local county in HR did not record a single ballot from overseas. I looke it up on the voter statistic site.

I have to worry about absentee ballots from overseas servicemembers not getting counted. Little nuance in VA law that needs to be changed.

I'm still trying to get rid of the weight from the last kid…lol.

Don't know if I mentioned it before, but I work in DC and we live in Norfolk. So most of the time, she's got our son by herself, and she's in school. I don't usually get home until about 830, and I'm out the door at 4 am. So she's beyond stressed…and that's before we throw in my stuff for VFF.

if she is tempted to overeat and she knows she isn't hungry - get her a slurpee or some crushed ice will do.

That will curb her temptations and she won't have to worry about eating a lot of junk she doesn't need.

Also Daddy - I can't help you lol my pounds were all stomach, but hubby gained at least 20 lbs and had a time getting rid of it after. LOL

Oh yea, a huge key in managing morning sickness and other pregnancy issue is to ensure she is not stressed out at all. NO STRESS. If you can help her accomplish that . . . . she will have the best pregnancy ever.

Where do we draw the line? At what point does the government tell someone they're unable to exercise their rights because of some deficit?

We don't let people with dementia carry guns, although they have the right to.
