Twenty years ago to the day, Cali almost had the nation's first Black Governor in the form of LA Mayor Tom Bradley. This brotha was Obama 20 years ahead: married, former LAPD in the days brothas didn't get to be on LAPD during the 40s and 50s. Clean record and elected as LA Mayor four times running.

He came up against GOP Thug George Deukmajian. Lost by 50,000 votes. Bradley even demanded a recount, just to make sure he wasn't cheated.

Six months after Deukmajian is sworn in, a crate box floats up in the San Francisco Bay, near one of the tourist Piers - down near the Embarcadero as I recall.

It was full of uncounted ballots - many of them mail-in or absentee ballots. Close to 60,000 ballots uncounted and dumped in the Bay.

I've often wondered if Tom Bradley had the gubernatorial election stolen from him the same way the ReThugs are trying to steal it from Obama NOW. Twenty years ago, they just hijacked the truck carrying the ballots, stole the boxes and tossed them in the ocean.

Today, they have DieBold computer voting machines, programmed to send the ballot in the opposite direction from who you select, and against your will.

The ReThugs and Bigots are in desperation mode and kitchen-sink, scorched-earth tactics. I guess the only thing left is a burning cross at the polling centers in ethnic neighborhoods, now.

You can see why I will wait with bated breath for it to be signed, sealed and delivered to Obama's doorstep before I commence the shouting and hearing the Fat Lady start singing like Mahalia Jackson.

Rikyrah, I understand what you're saying, but hear me out for a minute.

You know I'm from Cali.
