Just when I thought Colin Powell put this bs to rest... Here comes the McCain-knee-acts trying to trash Rashid Khalidi in an attempt to hurt Obama with Jewish voters. Here's all the LA Times information we need:

In interviews with The Times, Khalidi declined to discuss specifics of private talks over the years with Obama. He did not begrudge his friend for being out of touch, or for focusing more these days on his support for Israel -- a stance that Khalidi calls a requirement to win a national election in the U.S., just as wooing Chicago's large Arab American community was important for winning local elections.

Khalidi added that he strongly disagrees with Obama's current views on Israel, and often disagreed with him during their talks over the years. But he added that Obama, because of his unusual background, with family ties to Kenya and Indonesia, would be more understanding of the Palestinian experience than typical American politicians.

Pehaps if McCain has deactivated the address verification system to used to detect if a donor was over the legal limit for donations, OR accepted shady pre-paid credit cards he could have raised millions of dollars in questionable donations like Obama.

In order to receive matching funds, John McCain signed a binding agreement with the FEC to accept spending limits and to abide by the conditions of receiving those funds. The FEC makes clear that any request to withdraw from the agreement must be granted by the FEC. In other words, McCain can't just unilaterally withdraw. FEC Chairman David Mason made this clear in a letter to McCain advising him that the law requires the FEC to approve his request to withdraw from his contract.

According to past Commission rulings, the McCain campaign would not be allowed to withdraw from matching funds because it has already violated a key condition for being let out of the program - pledging matching funds as collateral for a private loan. McCain obtained a $4 million line of credit -- drew $2,971,697 from it - and documents make clear that the promise of public financing was used to secure his loan.

According to FEC (July 2008) report that John McCain had raised at $62.5 million in private funds that can be used for his general election campaign, even though he's already committed to accepting public funding for the general.

Moreover, of that $62.5 million, three quarters of it ($46.3 million) came from a total of 1,803 wealthy individuals who made five figure contributions averaging $25,664 each. So not only is McCain blatantly violating his public financing pledge, but he's doing it in grand style, raising money in increments of up to $70,000 per donor, - more than thirty times the amount a donor can give to Barack Obama's general election campaign.

John McCain also promised to run an honorable campaign.

Of course he abandoned that a long time ago. He has been so dishonorable that he hired people like Tucker Eschew, who in 2000, was responsible for smearing him in the SC primary with the black baby smear----using his own adopted daughter as a political hit job against McCain. McCain, later actually said people like Eschew have a special place in hell....well guess what, he jumped on the bandwagon and sold his soul to the devil, just like them. He even used the same robocall firm tthat smeared him in 2000. I tell you, he looks more and more like Bush each day.

He has most of Bush's handlers runing his campaign and prepping Palin...and yet he's not Bush. Isn't if funny how he accepts fundraising money when Bush goes out to campaign for him..yet he wants to all of a sudden distance himself from Bush...Guess what...He voted with Bush 90% of the time..and you know the saying, birds of a feather, flock together.

It doesn't bother you that senior advisors of McCain are leaking the truth of the dysfunction behind the scenes between Palin and McCain. Palin has even criticized some of the decisions made by McCain----seems he wants to keep the "diva" out of the loop. But of course that is what happens when you pick a VP nominee like you pick a speed-date. John McCain truly is the vet that did not vet. And arrogance begets arrogance. That is why the incompetence he used in selecting Palin is the same incompetence she shows that is biting him in his ass.

Now John McCain wants to complain about campaign finance. He should have been using campaign money more usefully instead of spending money on ads that mocked Obama or tire gauges or other trivial mementoes earlier on. He could have provided more meaningful ads that discussed issues.....Oh, I forgot, Rick Davis already told us this election was not going to be about issues.

John McCain received two test before this election occurred and that is his choice of VP and the economic crisis. And both he failed miserably. That is why his campaign announced that if they continued to talk about the economy they would lose. Finally near the end of his race, he decides to select "Joe the Plumber" as his mascot....a man who does not even have a plumbing license, and is delinquent on taxes...McCain sure knows how to pick them...and on top of that, Joe the Plumber comes off as the neo-Nazi that he is. What is even more incredible is that "Joe" answers more questions than Sarah Palin has---he held a press conference, she hasn't.

It is also funny how McCain bemoans the cash Obama has on hand...was he that concerned when he used his position in the House to influence regulators on behalf of Charles Keating....the same Charles Keating who caused Americans to lose billions in their life savings and earnings.
