There are a lot of things to ridicule about Sarah Palin's incomprehensible speaking style, her pathological dishonesty and her backwards, simplistic views on the issues. But it's her politics of fear and division that must be wholly rejected on Tuesday because it's too terrible to imagine waking up one week from today in an America that rewards the awfulness and fear which she and her subterranean allies require in order to politically exist.

So before we arrive at the end of the Bush dark ride, let's make sure the Sarah Palin dark ride comes to a complete stop on Tuesday.

The crazy thing about this is...I don't think Palin's a complete rock. She's not dumb, and given some time and experience, she could've been viable. But now?

She had to run as a far-right conservative, to shore up what McCain lacked there. Unfortunately for her, far-right conservatives are going out of style. She can run against Obama in '12 if she feels so inclined, but it may not go well for her.

Palin/Dobson, anyone? That way, you all can do the GOP a favor and get rid of him, too.

I've said before: the GOP could ride out the bloodbath of '08, continue to groom future stars, and set the stage to retake the White House in '12 (or, more realistically, '16).

Apparently, someone somewhere disagreed.

I can only hope that person has been-or will be soon-fired.

We're too far gone, and it's too late in the game.

This is the best we could put forward, under the guise that our future stars-Pawlenty, Jindal-were "not ready." The ironicness of that statement has yet to really catch up to some of my people.

11/4's gonna be a long night....and I'll have to get up and come to work on the 5th like nothing happened.
