As a Jew, I am totally offended by McCain's attempt to make Jews fearful of Obama. Do you think I want people like McCain and Palin to protect me? It's the McCain / Palin types (e.g. Mark Furhman) that scare me.
In the past month (and longer) McCain and Palin have been the crazy, excitable, hateful people; Obama and Biden have been the tolerant, inclusive, nice, calm people. The difference could not be clearer.

What's the saying.....better to be a fool and keep quiet, than to open your mouth an remove all doubt?

I've come to the conclusion that "Joe the Plumber" is effective as a rallying image. But when he starts talking, that kind of lessens the effect (once you start talking, you open yourself up for questions you may/may not know the answers to).

Could've done without Tito the Builder though. At some point, the horse does die, and at that point you should stop beating it.

We are having one the worst recessions, the stock market has been down, huge layoffs, bank failures, and people loosing a lot of their savings in 401K… all during Republican presidency. Now the Republican campaign has taken on an uneducated, opinionated, non taxpaying Joe “the Plumber” to be the center piece of their political campaign. If this is how its going to be before the elections, I don't want to imagine what it would be like after the election if McCain wins. Joe “the Plumber” would probably be the head of National Security, “Andy the Janitor” would be appointed to the Supreme Court Judge, and Pam from Merry Maids will probably take over Bernanke's position. Scary times indeed.
