Why aren't these kids married? Could it be that grandma's insurance won't cover a married daughter? Thank god she has a state job with insurance. Gee, that be really wonderful for all teenage mothers. Better to live in sin then without insurance.

Is it really ridiculous to discuss the idea that Sarah Palin believes in abstinence and is against sex education and will make sure that America's children receive no sex eduation yet she has a pregnant teen in her home. The proof is in the pudding. I think parents with children do want to discuss the fact that she preaches abstinence yet it hasn't worked for her.

Sarah Palin needs to answer questions on policies that affect families all over this nation. Including those with 'special needs' children...seems that Sarah's public stances and power over public policy is cold-blooded:

Sarah Palin Slashed Special Needs Education by 62%

For those of you who seem so enamored with Gov. Sarah Palin, it might be worth noting that she oversees the budget for the Department of Education and Early Development Special Schools in Alaska.
These funds provide supplementary educational services to students with severe disabling conditions and the Alaska Challenge Youth Academy. The resident school where the child would normally be placed does not have the resources to provide an adequate educational program. Without the supplementary services the child’s needs would not be met by the local school district in most cases.
The following programs are included within this component:
Special Education Service Agency (SESA)

The Annual budget for 2007, which preceded Gov. Palin was $8,265,300.

This is a cut in special needs services to children in Alaska of 5,109,300 , or 62%.

So, as the Alaska State Budget description states, “Without the supplementary services the child’s needs would not be met by the local school district in most cases.”

Did 62% of all of the special needs children in Alaska stop having needs once Gov. Palin took office?

Before we get so excited about Gov. Palin bring her “Reformer” agenda to Washington, perhaps we should get to know a little more about what exactly that means to our children, and the opportunities that she would “Reform”.

If you ask me, a 62% cut in these funds, which we all know are so desperately scarce, and for which we all have to fight tooth and nail for our children, is a disgrace

Why can't reporters and journalists stir thoughts that question our ideals and topics of substance when we are electing the leaders we will hold responsible for our ideals and values. This is ABSOLUTE garbage. This is true evidence of the disservice our educational system has bestowed on the reporters of this country.

Sarah Palin's extremist views about sex education has consequences beyond America's borders as well. Would she fight for funds to help prevent and educate those in countries burdened by the catastrophe that is AIDS? Would she work against all of the initiatives abroad to combat HIV on a global scale? What about contraceptives and the availability of services for our men and women in the military? Remember there has already been a cut in that funding and military women are prevented from using military facilities to terminate an unwanted pregnancy…or rather the facilities are prevented from providing the service.
Quite simply, this woman should not be anywhere NEAR DC.
